Good morning, world!

I have so much to do today!! Already my brain is on overdrive, trying to figure out how to go about getting it all done!! EEK!!

I have to go take my car into the auto body shop – I was backed into in my local grocery store parking lot. The damage doesn’t appear to be very bad, but mama still needs it fixed!

I then have to run over to the employment office, where I have to meet with one of their staff members, to finish the process for qualifying for unemployment. Side note: unemployment is such a cool thing! I never once thought I would ever need it, and now that I do, I am just so thankful that that service is there!! YEAH!!

I then have to prep a video for my YouTube channel, to post tomorrow. In all honesty, I have no idea what I am going to vlog about yet. I was in a little bit of a funk all day yesterday, and didn’t take the time to do any of my normal prep work, like I usually do. I had a couple of appointments, had lunch with a girlfriend, and pretty much sat around, the rest of the day, watching the telly, and avoiding social media as much as possible! Not my proudest moment of wallowing & self-pity, but today is a new day!

Moving on…I then need to get my scooty booty home and pack like a crazy person!! I only have 7 days until my sister, from AZ, gets here, and I DO NOT want to have to pack while she is in town!!! So, let’s just say I am going to have to get my hustle on!!! 🙂

Oh man, so much to do, and only 24 hours in which to do it in. How do you people get all of this stuff done!?!?!?!?

I am going to have pull out my Super Woman cape, and get a crackin’!!!

Here is to an AMAZINGLY productive day!

A Night of Vision Boarding!

Good evening!

I have spent the past hour gathering pics from Polyvore to create an electronic Vision Board!!

The things that I am dreaming of is a passionate marriage, traveling, yoga, dancing, France, faith, family, friends, farm-living, photography, books, and a crystal chandelier for good measure!!

Anyway, I am getting back to journaling and time/goal management, which I realize are two different things, but I have found that since having not being consistent with these 2 things I have not been as happy as I normally am – not that I am sad, just not as happily as I could be! Nor am I getting as much done as I usually do! So, tomorrow morning, I am back to spending some time writing my morning pages, and I will have my to-do list written before I head to bed this evening!

Matter of fact, here it is:

  • At least 30 minutes of aerobic exercise
  • Drink at least 2 liters of water
  • Take iron pill
  • Eat a healthy breakfast
  • Eat a healthy lunch
  • Eat a healthy home-cooked dinner
  • Write morning pages

  • Do a load of dishes
  • 1/2 hour art studio clean
  • Put laundry away
  • Sweep floors
  • Spend at least 10 minutes meditating
  • Get in bed by9 pm

Ok, I think that list is long enough! 😉

Oh, I wanted to share some micro goals that I have come up with:

  1. Lose 7.6 pounds
  2. Finish cleaning art studio
  3. Make sure all books in this house have a place to “live”

These are small enough that they will get me closer to a few of my big goals, and they are small enough as to not be overwhelming! 😉

Have a FABULOUS evening! 😉

PS. I will “see” you Chunky Dunkers tomorrow evening, at about 7-ish!! 😉

I want to go swimming, take the girls for a walk, possibly meet up with some friends for lunch, play some games with Jason, take a nap (it sounds like I will need it), do some neglected house chores, organizing, purging, and reading done!! Again, I say WHEW!!!

Have a FABULOUS day!! 😉

A Productive Saturday!

Good morning!

I am pining for the Farmer’s market this morning!!! Not only do I love the scenic drive to get to our local farmer’s market, but I am just sighing to browse through luscious fruits, hunt for crisp veggies, pick up some fresh flowers, and just get a start on Spring! I love Summer, but I am really missing my sunshine!!! The Farmer’s market is always a fun place to go walk around for an hour our two, listen to some Parisian music, and enjoy the all of sights and scents.

As for what I am REALLY going to do today, well I have quite a few things that I want to get done today, not to mention the regular house chores. Jason is picking up our nephew Christopher, even as we speak. Chris is going to spend the day with us, swimming, playing video games, watching some guy movies! You know, uncle-nephew bonding time!! Fortunately they are going to let join them in some of thier fun!!! Thanks guys!!! 😉

I also want to get our grocery shopping for the week done today, re-design my craft room/office, since it looks like telecommuting is going to become a bigger part of my working life, and I am hoping that I am able to finagle a nap sometime in my day today!! Oh, and getting some reading done too would be AWESOME – I haven’t taken some serious time to read in a while, and I miss it!!! 🙂

I will keep you posted of my progress, and hopefully I will have a few pics to post for you too!!!

Have a FABULOUS day!!

Note to Chunky Dunkers: Take a little time today to go for a walk. Just walk for as long as you comfortably can, as fast as you comfortably can. Every step you take adds up – and honey, you can do it!!

Happy Tuesday!

Jason is downstairs cooking dinner, we are having chicken parmesan tonight! I LOVE when he makes that – HEALTHY + YUMMY = PERFECTION!!!

In work news: This week is the first week of about 4 weeks that I will be working late every night. I can see how that it is helpful, already, since Monday, I have been able to get some of the tedious tasks done without interruption which has been good!! Although, my job is mentally draining, so I find that I am really tired! I have actually had some difficulty getting out of bed on time, so I will have to adapt so that I don’t have to do my entire to-do list at night time.

My mind is racing tonight! I just have so much yet to get done this evening!! I am in GO-GO-GO-MODE!!

Have a FABULOUS evening!!! 😉

Back to Work Monday!!

Good morning!

I am up, showered, dressed, and ready to go face this new day!!! It is back to work for me this week, which is good! I am thankful that I was able to take time off (11 days, matter of fact!! WHOO! HOO!), but I am ready to get back to the office and see my office-mates again!!! I have missed you, Chris!!! 😉

Anyway, as for my 60 Day Life Makeover plan, I did take time out last night to not only plan my weekly goals, but my daily ones for this week as well!!! I have a lot of work to do, but I am excited to see the new me – I KNOW SHE IS IN HERE, JUST RARING TO GET OUT!!! 😉

My biggies for this week are:

  • Lose at least 2 pounds
  • Walk at LEAST 30 minutes each day
  • Go to church this week
  • Put an extra $100 into savings this week
  • Read at least 1/2 a book
  • Finish cleaning, organizing, purging the office

WHEW!!! I can do this, I just have to stay dedicated and focused!!! All of my 60 day goals help support me in getting my little farm – at least in some small way!!! I just have to visualize myself walking the trails on our farm, laughing with our visiting friends and family, or reaping the harvest from my little vegetable garden, and it gets me motivated all over again!!! I am so excited to think that that little farm could be less than 5 years away!! Less, if it is in God’s Will!! 😉

I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. – Philippians 4:13

On another note: I slept GREAT last night! I could have slept a little longer, but that is what happens when you don’t make your sleeping schedule a priority while on vacation.

Talking about vacation…my sis, Nette, and her family just got back from their honeymoon/vacation in Hawaii! I can’t wait to see them and hear all about it. I know that they had fun, they did send us some pics while they were gone!! The pics were of Megan dangling her newly tanned little self from a bamboo tree, and Morgan and the guys were all looking like they were having fun snorkling!! I can’t wait to see you guys!!! 😉

Anyway, I am going to finish up getting ready to head out for work today! I know that today is going to be a MARVELOUS DAY!!! I can just feel it in my bones!!

Have a FABULOUS day!!!

Started Out Strong & Peter’ed Out!!!

When I woke up this morning, I had every intention of doing EVERY SINGLE THING ON MY TO-DO LIST TODAY!!! I started out strong, motivated, driven, and I even did the scariest things from my to-do list first!!!

After I had accomplished about 4 or 5 things, my energy level absolutely plummeted!!! What’s up with that??? Plus, during my walk today, within the last block of the 3-miles, in the freezing rain, I turned my ankle!

“OUCH, it’s ok, it’s ok, I am just going to walk it off!”

Well, after about two hours after getting home and doing some more chores, I realized that not only did I hurt my ankle, I tweaked by lower back and pulled a muscle in my leg! Doesn’t that just figure???? LOL! It’s all good! as of tonight, only my leg is a little ach-ey, so I am sure by morning I will be back to 100%

Jason and I starting to struggle a little bit right now on vacation! We are starting to get a little antsy and bored! I can hear my mom saying,

“Get outside, and go find out something to do!!”

So, starting tomorrow, we are going to have to get creative in what our activity options for the rest of this week are!!! I need to pretend we are hanging out of the beach house (oh, how we miss thee!), and do the same kind of things that we would do if we were there!!

An update on my To-Do List from today is:

  • Walking plan – 3 miles – DONE!!! YEAH!!!
  • Track Food – Done
  • Drink 2 Liters of water – Working on it!

I will let you know how it goes this evening!!

Have a FABULOUS day!! 😉

An Eye-Opening Dream!

I just awoke from a late-in-the-day nap, and had the most AMAZING dream! This is really HUGE news to me, because I am an uber-creative person and I have somehow lost the ability to dream, which is REALLY FRUSTRATING!!!

Anyway, I dreamed I was spending the day hanging out with the most zany, eccentric, and FABULOUSLY CREATIVE artists. There was a textile artist, an architect, an interior designer, a multi-media artist, and a party planner. My role in this dream was as investigative reporter; I was able to ask them as many questions as I could think of: how did they get started? what inspires them? what advice would you give to a newbie artist? etc. etc.

Wouldn’t that JUST BE THE BEST JOB EVER!!! To be able to spend the day with people that intrigue you, asking them all sorts of questions and just soaking up their answers!?!??! To someone who LOVES to collect information, that would be PHENOMENAL!!! I think I may have just found my life’s calling!! I would love to hear your thoughts!!!

As for my to-do list from today:

  • Blog – Done (twice!)
  • Walking plan – 3 miles – took a nap instead! (SAD, I KNOW!!)
  • Track food – Done
  • Drink 2 Liters of water – Done
  • Spend at least an hour filing paperwork – Done (Actually spent about 6 hours doing this)
  • Read for at least 1/2 an hour – Done first thing this morning!
  • Write letter to sponsor child – Sadly, not done yet!
  • Schedule teeth cleaning appointment – Done
  • Schedule yearly exam – Done
  • Schedule mammogram – will do at yearly exam
  • Order credit reports – will do tomorrow
  • Organize this month’s bills – Will do in the morning
  • Create/update electronic monthly bill tracker – Started
  • Catalog paper books – I am going to save this one for a time when my sister can come over and help me do this!
  • Laundry – Started
  • Sort Magazines for donation/Recycling – Have not started yet!

Whew!!! I am glad I snuck that nap in, I REALLY needed that!!! For tomorrow, I have to make walking, and the letter to my sponsor child my number one and two priorities!!

I also want to make sure I update my read list for 2011, which means I will have to remove my read list of 2010 from my sidebar. So, I don’t lose this, I thought I would post this, one last time, here:

1. City of Bones
2. The Lightning Thief
3. Pride & Prejudice
4. City of Ashes
5. City of Glass
6. Burned
7. Queen of Your Own Life
8. Eat Your Way to Health
9. Artemis Fowl
10. The Sea of Monsters
11. The Titan’s Curse
12. Battle of the Labyrinth
13. The Last Olympian
14. Suddenly Supernatural School Spirit

22. The French Woman’s Guide to Style
23. The Five Dysfunctions of a Team
24. Clockwork Angel
25. The Lost Heroes
26. Give It Up! My Year of Learning to Live Better with Less

I had so much fun reading these. This is not my all-time-high, 26, but I think this was a good compromise!!! This, for me, averages to about reading 1/2 an hour most days. The most books I have ever read in one year was 49, and I felt like I was basically doing nothing but reading all year!!! Let see what books I read this year!!

I also want to add a list of links to my favorite blogs on my side-bar! I am going to have to get knowledgeable on how more of these link-y things work, so wish me luck!!!

On a side note: I wanted to give a shout out to my little sister, Jennifer – I am currently savoring one of the crystal candies you gave me at Christmas – honey, you KNOW that those are my favorite!!! THEY MAKE ME SOOOO HAPPY!!! I love you!

Until tomorrow…

Have a FABULOUS evening!! 😉
