Here is your motivational quote for today!

Have a FABULOUS afternoon!!
I have noticed a bit of theme going on with posts this week. Have you noticed it too??
It is happiness!
I have been spending a lot of time and energy on being thankful for the blessings I have and the blessings that I can see on the horizon, and it has caused me to change my perspective in my day to day dealings with people, work, stresses, challenges, and so forth. Looking at life through the looking glass of gratitude may be my key to life balance and happiness!
I really wanted to take the time to thank all of you, my readers, my friends. For stopping by and visiting, for leaving comments of encouragement or advice. I thank you for helping me realize how truly blessed I am, in being able to have this outlet to share myself, my stories, and my dreams with you! That is truly powerful, and for YOU I am truly THANKFUL!!!
So, I leave you, tonight, with this very short simple message of thanks…
THANK YOU!!!
Have a FABULOUS evening!! π
Here is your motivational quote for today!
βThe deepest secret is that life is not a process of discovery, but a process of creation. You are not discovering yourself but creating yourself anew. Seek, therefore, not to find out who you are, seek to determine what you want to be.β
~Neale Donald Walsch
Have a FABULOUS afternoon!!

Have a FABULOUS evening!!
I love laughing with my sweetie!! Jason and I just watched one my favorite episode of the Cosby Show, yes, I said the Cosby Show! That is how we roll here in Christinaville!! LOL!! This episode is the one where Stevie Wonder’s limo is in a car accident with Theo and Denise. Well, long story short Stevie Wonder invites the family to come to the recoding studio where they proceed to help him record a song! It is just too funny!! I have always LOVED watching the Cosby Show, Claire and Cliff Huxtable’s relationship is always so idylic, yes I realize it is fiction, but I can’t help but be happy when watching one of these reruns.
Jason is in the dining room right now, playing his guitar. He is doing such a great job teaching himself how to play, I am just so proud of him.
Today was the first day of his new job, and it sounds like he is going to be very happy there, which makes me sooooo excited for him!! He has been hired on at one of the local storage companies to be a handyman for their facility. That is so right up his alley, having always been a Mr.Β Fix-it! And it sounds like he really enjoys his bosses, so that is always a HUGE plus!!
As for the homemade potato soup? Well, since it was Jason’s first day, I decided to make him some ham and potato soup, which I had never done before, but I know how much he likes to have a hearty soup. So, as soon as I got home from work, I got busy chopping vegetables, sauteeing, boiling, brewing, and just having a good time playing in the kitchen by myself. Well, the moment came for him to try it, and I was nervous, but of course I had nothing to worry about – Jason ate TWO bowls full!!! Which is great because it is made of mostly veggies and broth!! SO delicious, and so healthy!! He made me feel like a million dollars tonight.
Before I leave for the evening, I can’t forget my 5 Grattitiudes:
With that said,
Have a FABULOUS evening!! π
Note to Chunky Dunkers: I will see you tomorrow tonight at 7 pm!! GO CHUNKY DUNKERS!!! π
I am very happy to report that today has been a very happy Monday! I managed to get myself up bright and early at 5:30 am to write my morning pages, which felt pretty darn good to get that habit started back up again. I know I will be up and at-em again tomorrow morning too!
I had a good day at work today, and even had the opportunity to laugh with my co-workers Chris, and Julie, which is ALWAYS so much fun!
This evening, after work, my sweetie surprised me by agreeing to meet me down at the grocery store so that I wouldn’t have to go grocery shopping by myself, and we made a game of it trying to get through the store under budget, and with a cart full of healthy food, which we did a mighty good job of doing! Thank you, honey!! π
After we drove home, the book I have been impatiently waiting finally arrived, and I was able to sit a spell and read some before dinner tonight, which my hubby made for us. One of his new specialties: tuna fish sandwiches with dices celery and pickles – which I have to tell you is might delicious!! You see, I thought I didn’t like tuna fish, and Jason convinced me a couple of weeks ago to try it again to make sure that I really didn’t like it, and sure enough – I had to fess up and admit that it was pretty yummy!! Thanks for that love! π
Anyway, I am going to try and list 5 things I am grateful for every evening here with you, and then I am going to try and make room for a 10 minute quiet meditation before bed, just to keep this happiness momentum going!! π
This evening I am happy for:
Anyway, as I get ready to take myself up to bed!
Have a FABULOUS evening! π
Good evening!
It has been a long day today! I stayed home from work today with a killer headache that just won’t seem to take a hint, and leave! So, while I have been seemingly stuck on the couch today, I have been seriously thinking and day dreaming about my little farmhouse!!
I know that it will be here someday, but I have decided that even though I live in a small condo in the city with my husband, and two long-haired chihuahuas, I should still be striving to create my dream of a farmhouse lifestyle NOW!
RIGHT WHERE I AM!!
USING WHAT I HAVE!!
I am not sure what that means just EXACTLY yet, but it gives my daydreams new meaning!! How can I incorporate some of that into my life right now? Hmmmmmm…very intriguing!!
As I go and figure outwhat that means…
Have a FABULOUS evening! π

I am in a bit of a funky mood! Do you ever feel like that?
I had a pretty good day at work, and this evening, as soon as I got home I pulled all of my bills together to schedule them to be automatically paid, like I do every month, and I had a little surprise on my cable bill.
Back in November, my sweetie and I decided that we had too much tele in our lives, and we took the huge step, at least at the time it felt like a huge step, to cut our super-duper-duper-CABLE back to regular, bare-bones basic cable.
Well, today, for the first time since then, I actually looked at our bill – what a novel concept right? I know, I honestly don’t know what I was thinking, thinking that the cable company would be looking out for me!! Anyway, I found a $16 discrepancy on our bill, which isn’t so bad all by itself, BUT I have been paying that $16 for every month for the past 8 months – OUCH! Ok, so maybe it isn’t enough to break the bank, but still I am giving away my hard earned money for nothing!!
I called their “Customer Service Line” and well, let’s just say, the customer wasn’t served very well! HOWEVER, I am not going to let it ruin my day, Jason is going to go down tomorrow and make sure that it is taken care of.
So, there you go!!
The thing that started this whole effort this evening, is that I have decided that I have got to stop turning a blind eye to my finances, pretending that I am thriving, when in reality I really had no freaking clue how I was doing!! Well, I have taken stock, and I am not doing as well as I thought I was doing, and it is going to take me a while to flip my financed right side up, but I have done it before and I will be more than able to do it again!! With LOTS and LOTS of patience!! π
I will keep you posted of my efforts!! Right now, I need to set up an actual budget to see what will be manageable!! Not to mention get ready to have some dinner with my sweetie!!
Have a FABULOUS evening!!! π
