Motivational Quote of the Day!

Here is your motivational quote for today!

β€œOur deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous ? Actually, who are you not to be ? Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we’re liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
~Marianne Williamson

Have a FABULOUS afternoon!! ;-)

Putting it Out There!

Good afternoon!

As some of you may know, I am very HAPPILY taking a creative online course called Flying Lessons, which is a course offered by Kelly Rae Roberts.

Β I am taking one small step at a time to turn my passion for creating art into my career. I have done a few things already, including updated my header for my blog, as you might have noticed from above. However, this next step might be one of the hardest for me.

I know I have shared some of my art, sporadically and somewhat hesitantly, over the course of the past six months, but tonight, I want to share all of my scribblings, doodles, and art projects, with the intention of letting the universe know, that I am an artist.Β

WOW! That is incredibly hard to say, but
I am an artist.

I want to focus my energies on investing time on my talent. I want to take the necessary steps to focus, and learn more skills so that I can continue to put my art out into the world. My goal in doing this is to encourage women to live their lives authentically, with dignity, and pride, and if in some small way I can encourage and motivate someone to do something they might not have done, or try something they might not have tried, or even smile when they otherwise would not have, then I will have done what I was put on this earth to do.

So without further ado, here is my art:

Ok, so the good, the bad, the ugly, theΒ  gorgeous, the fabulous, and even the huh’s??Β  have all been shared!

They have now all been OFFICIALLY sent out into the UNIVERSE!!!

Officially!!!

Whew! Ok, that wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be! Whew – again!! πŸ˜‰

Β I totally need a break, my bravery muscles have thoroughly been exercised for the day!!! πŸ˜‰

Have a FABULOUS evening!

Motivational Quote of the Day!

Here is your motivational quote for today!

β€œ”Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it is good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art”
~Andy Warhol

Thank you to my new friend, ‘Duchess’ Deborah Velasquez for sharing this AMAZING quote!!

Have a FABULOUS afternoon!! ;-)

Sunday Scribbling!

SUNDAY SCRIBBLINGS
suggests the topic ‘Forward’.
LOOKING FORWARD
What is life, but looking forward?
The past is past, what’s done is done.
All that’s left is upward, onward.
Where will you go?
Who will you be?
What will you do?
What will you see?
Life is fleeting,
Time proceeding,
Looking back will not reward
The only progress is forward.
Have a FABULOUS evening!

An Evening of Games with Friends!

Good evening!

This evening, my sweetie and I got the opportunity to go over to our friends’ place, Rachel and Kevin! We were also joined by my sister, Lynette! We were there to have dinner, catch up, and to play a fun game of Apples to Apples.

After some much needed kiddo-time, playing with Rachel and Kevin’s BEAUTIFUL baby girl, Alyson, we got down to the business of having dinner, which was pizza, grilled salmon, yams, corn on the cob, and salsa – did I mention that we did this dinner potluck style??!! LOL! πŸ˜‰

Anyway, after dinner (and a yummy dessert of some strawberry shortcake and whipped cream) we played a rousing, and fun competitive game of Apples to Apples where Rachel happily kicked all of our booties, and took home the prize of Queen of the Evening!!! πŸ˜‰ I think my mojo was a little off this evening, otherwise I probably wouldn’t have come in dead last!! LOL!! πŸ˜‰ Oh well! What’s a girl to do!?? πŸ˜‰

We had so much fun that we have decided to make this a monthly date, and have already put our next get together on our calendars!! I can’t wait, we will have soooo much fun!! πŸ˜‰

Thank you, Rachel for hosting our get together tonight! I just LOVE your place and you are such a fun and gracious hostess!!! I thank God for your friendship! You mean A LOT to us!! πŸ˜‰

Have a FABULOUS evening!!

PS. I will make sure to post more pictures from our get together tomorrow!! πŸ˜‰

A Thursday Evening of Gratitude!

Good evening!

I have noticed a bit of theme going on with posts this week. Have you noticed it too??

It is happiness!

I have been spending a lot of time and energy on being thankful for the blessings I have and the blessings that I can see on the horizon, and it has caused me to change my perspective in my day to day dealings with people, work, stresses, challenges, and so forth. Looking at life through the looking glass of gratitude may be my key to life balance and happiness!

I really wanted to take the time to thank all of you, my readers, my friends. For stopping by and visiting, for leaving comments of encouragement or advice. I thank you for helping me realize how truly blessed I am, in being able to have this outlet to share myself, my stories, and my dreams with you! That is truly powerful, and for YOU I am truly THANKFUL!!!

So, I leave you, tonight, with this very short simple message of thanks…

THANK YOU!!!

Have a FABULOUS evening!! πŸ˜‰

Motivational Quote of the Day!

Here is your motivational quote for today!

β€œThe deepest secret is that life is not a process of discovery, but a process of creation. You are not discovering yourself but creating yourself anew. Seek, therefore, not to find out who you are, seek to determine what you want to be.”
~Neale Donald Walsch

Have a FABULOUS afternoon!! ;-)

Chunky Dunker’s Night!

Good evening!

Chunky Dunkers is a weekly weight loss/get fit support group that meet here online every Wednesday evening to get the opportunity to comment, and cheer each other as you each go through your journey to get fit and healthy!!! We will discuss hints, tips, and ideas on losing weight, staying motivated, and achieving your fitness goals, whether that is to lose 5 pounds, to do 10 sit-ups, or just incorporate some healthy habits into your daily life!!

As always, everyone and anyone is welcome to join us, or you may feel free to just quietly follow along. I look forward to hearing about all of your successes!

This week I have had my proverbial ear to the railroad tracks all week looking for some creative hints, tips and ideas to help us in our weight loss/get fit journey this week, and I think I found 4 really JUICY ones, that I just couldn’t WAIT to share with you tonight!!!

  1. When you get to your first 5 pound loss, or even 10 pound for that matter, and you feel like you still have SOOOOO MUCH to lose, go purchase a 5 or a 10 pound bag of potatoes and carry them around in a backpack all day. You will realize, soon enough, what great progress you are making!! Those 5 pound increments really add up!!
  2. Too embarrased to work out in front of anyone else, or more like my current complaint “It’s too hot!” Try jogging in place! That counts toward burning those calories too! and if that is too much try marching in place, or just stand instead of sit to watch the tele!!
  3. I stumbled across someone’s idea of charting a destination on a map, and seeing if you could “walk” to that location in a certain time-frame. For example could I walk to, say..Portland, Oregon (45 miles) in a month, and start tracking your progress on a map. Once you get to your first destination, choose the next, and so forth. How long do you think it would take to walk across the US??
  4. and finally, my Sweetie did this tonight at dinner, take a chicken breast and slice it in half horizontally, so it looks like you are eating two small chicken breast instead of one cut in half ! TOTALLY FOOLED ME!! That man is a genius!!! πŸ˜‰

Do you have any ideas you would like to share?? Please do so in the comment section above.

Now, before I join you in the comments section for our weekly get-together, I wanted to make sure that I share my 5 Gratitudes with you for the day!

  1. I am thankful to have a husband who is happy in his new job – that is so REFRESHING to come home to!! πŸ˜‰
  2. I am thankful for Kelly Rae Robert’s online class, “Flying Lessons” – it is re-awakening my sense of hope!
  3. I am still so thankful for my girlfriends at work!! Seriously, they can make ANYTHING fun!!
  4. I am thankful for my daddy! I have been thinking about him a lot lately, and I have to confess just the thought of him makes me smile with giddyness!! I love you, Daddy!! πŸ˜‰
  5. I am thankful that God is helping me find work/life balance! Life is waaaayΒ  more fun when you aren’t swimming in the mire of trying to please the whole-wide-world!! πŸ˜‰

Have a FABULOUS evening!! ;-)
