Motivational Quote of the Day!

Here is your motivational quote for today!

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous ? Actually, who are you not to be ? Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we’re liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
~Marianne Williamson

Have a FABULOUS afternoon!! ;-)

Putting it Out There!

Good afternoon!

As some of you may know, I am very HAPPILY taking a creative online course called Flying Lessons, which is a course offered by Kelly Rae Roberts.

I am taking one small step at a time to turn my passion for creating art into my career. I have done a few things already, including updated my header for my blog, as you might have noticed from above. However, this next step might be one of the hardest for me.

I know I have shared some of my art, sporadically and somewhat hesitantly, over the course of the past six months, but tonight, I want to share all of my scribblings, doodles, and art projects, with the intention of letting the universe know, that I am an artist.

WOW! That is incredibly hard to say, but
I am an artist.

I want to focus my energies on investing time on my talent. I want to take the necessary steps to focus, and learn more skills so that I can continue to put my art out into the world. My goal in doing this is to encourage women to live their lives authentically, with dignity, and pride, and if in some small way I can encourage and motivate someone to do something they might not have done, or try something they might not have tried, or even smile when they otherwise would not have, then I will have done what I was put on this earth to do.

So without further ado, here is my art:

Ok, so the good, the bad, the ugly, the  gorgeous, the fabulous, and even the huh’s??  have all been shared!

They have now all been OFFICIALLY sent out into the UNIVERSE!!!

Officially!!!

Whew! Ok, that wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be! Whew – again!! 😉

I totally need a break, my bravery muscles have thoroughly been exercised for the day!!! 😉

Have a FABULOUS evening!

Motivational Quote of the Day!

Here is your motivational quote for today!

“”Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it is good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art”
~Andy Warhol

Thank you to my new friend, ‘Duchess’ Deborah Velasquez for sharing this AMAZING quote!!

Have a FABULOUS afternoon!! ;-)

Sunday Scribbling!

SUNDAY SCRIBBLINGS
suggests the topic ‘Forward’.
LOOKING FORWARD
What is life, but looking forward?
The past is past, what’s done is done.
All that’s left is upward, onward.
Where will you go?
Who will you be?
What will you do?
What will you see?
Life is fleeting,
Time proceeding,
Looking back will not reward
The only progress is forward.
Have a FABULOUS evening!

Motivational Quote of the Day!

Here is your motivational quote for today!

“The deepest secret is that life is not a process of discovery, but a process of creation. You are not discovering yourself but creating yourself anew. Seek, therefore, not to find out who you are, seek to determine what you want to be.”
~Neale Donald Walsch

Chunky Dunker’s Night!

Good evening!

Chunky Dunkers is a weekly weight loss/get fit support group that meet here online every Wednesday evening to get the opportunity to comment, and cheer each other as you each go through your journey to get fit and healthy!!! We will discuss hints, tips, and ideas on losing weight, staying motivated, and achieving your fitness goals, whether that is to lose 5 pounds, to do 10 sit-ups, or just incorporate some healthy habits into your daily life!!

As always, everyone and anyone is welcome to join us, or you may feel free to just quietly follow along. I look forward to hearing about all of your successes!

This week I have had my proverbial ear to the railroad tracks all week looking for some creative hints, tips and ideas to help us in our weight loss/get fit journey this week, and I think I found 4 really JUICY ones, that I just couldn’t WAIT to share with you tonight!!!

  1. When you get to your first 5 pound loss, or even 10 pound for that matter, and you feel like you still have SOOOOO MUCH to lose, go purchase a 5 or a 10 pound bag of potatoes and carry them around in a backpack all day. You will realize, soon enough, what great progress you are making!! Those 5 pound increments really add up!!
  2. Too embarrased to work out in front of anyone else, or more like my current complaint “It’s too hot!” Try jogging in place! That counts toward burning those calories too! and if that is too much try marching in place, or just stand instead of sit to watch the tele!!
  3. I stumbled across someone’s idea of charting a destination on a map, and seeing if you could “walk” to that location in a certain time-frame. For example could I walk to, say..Portland, Oregon (45 miles) in a month, and start tracking your progress on a map. Once you get to your first destination, choose the next, and so forth. How long do you think it would take to walk across the US??
  4. and finally, my Sweetie did this tonight at dinner, take a chicken breast and slice it in half horizontally, so it looks like you are eating two small chicken breast instead of one cut in half ! TOTALLY FOOLED ME!! That man is a genius!!! 😉

Do you have any ideas you would like to share?? Please do so in the comment section above.

Now, before I join you in the comments section for our weekly get-together, I wanted to make sure that I share my 5 Gratitudes with you for the day!

  1. I am thankful to have a husband who is happy in his new job – that is so REFRESHING to come home to!! 😉
  2. I am thankful for Kelly Rae Robert’s online class, “Flying Lessons” – it is re-awakening my sense of hope!
  3. I am still so thankful for my girlfriends at work!! Seriously, they can make ANYTHING fun!!
  4. I am thankful for my daddy! I have been thinking about him a lot lately, and I have to confess just the thought of him makes me smile with giddyness!! I love you, Daddy!! 😉
  5. I am thankful that God is helping me find work/life balance! Life is waaaay  more fun when you aren’t swimming in the mire of trying to please the whole-wide-world!! 😉

Have a FABULOUS evening!! ;-)

Motivational Quote of the Day!

Here is your motivational quote for today!

“We will discover the nature of our particular genius when we stop trying to conform to our own or to other peoples’ models, learn to be ourselves, and allow our natural channel to open.”

Have a FABULOUS afternoon!! ;-)

A Happy Monday!

Good evening!

I am very happy to report that today has been a very happy Monday! I managed to get myself up bright and early at 5:30 am to write my morning pages, which felt pretty darn good to get that habit started back up again. I know I will be up and at-em again tomorrow morning too!

I had a good day at work today, and even had the opportunity to laugh with my co-workers Chris, and Julie, which is ALWAYS so much fun!

This evening, after work, my sweetie surprised me by agreeing to meet me down at the grocery store so that I wouldn’t have to go grocery shopping by myself, and we made a game of it trying to get through the store under budget, and with a cart full of healthy food, which we did a mighty good job of doing! Thank you, honey!! 😉

After we drove home, the book I have been impatiently waiting finally arrived, and I was able to sit a spell and read some before dinner tonight, which my hubby made for us. One of his new specialties: tuna fish sandwiches with dices celery and pickles – which I have to tell you is might delicious!! You see, I thought I didn’t like tuna fish, and Jason convinced me a couple of weeks ago to try it again to make sure that I really didn’t like it, and sure enough – I had to fess up and admit that it was pretty yummy!! Thanks for that love! 😉

Anyway, I am going to try and list 5 things I am grateful for every evening here with you, and then I am going to try and make room for a 10 minute quiet meditation before bed, just to keep this happiness momentum going!! 😉

This evening I am happy for:

  1. My husband who I love more and more every day!
  2. My friends and coworkers at the office who help make a sometimes tedious job fun!
  3. Having a kitchen stocked with fresh and healthy food so Jason and I can make healthy eating choices!
  4. For Fay’s vet, who has given her medicine which is helping clear up her ear infection so she is her peppy self again!
  5. To live in a country where I can be truly free to do what I want, when I want, and how I want. What a blessing that is!!

Anyway, as I get ready to take myself up to bed!

Have a FABULOUS evening! 😉

Long Day!

Good evening!

It has been a long day today! I stayed home from work today with a killer headache that just won’t seem to take a hint, and leave! So, while I have been seemingly stuck on the couch today, I have been seriously thinking and day dreaming about my little farmhouse!!

My Fancy FarmhouseI know that it will be here someday, but I have decided that even though I live in a small condo in the city with my husband, and two long-haired chihuahuas, I should still be striving to create my dream of a farmhouse lifestyle NOW!

RIGHT WHERE I AM!!

USING WHAT I HAVE!!

I am not sure what that means just EXACTLY yet, but it gives my daydreams new meaning!! How can I incorporate some of that into my life right now? Hmmmmmm…very intriguing!!

As I go and figure outwhat that means…

Have a FABULOUS evening! 😉
