Daily Update!

Well, it has been a very busy day!!! My sister-in-law, nephew, and niece all spent the night last  – it was like a great big slumber party!!! Thank you, sis, I really needed that!!! 🙂

After taking them home this morning, I got to work extremely early, which is a huge feat for me!! Not only that, but I literally got THE BEST parking spot on the flat lot! WOW!!! Ok, so I was ready to go to my office, and that is when it happened! I took a terrible spill just as I was about to cross the street. I slipped and was literally covered in mud up oneside and down the other!!! I hurt myself something terrible, but all I could do was laugh and cry at the same time!!! I composed myself, picked up my belongings and managed to figure out how to get back into my car without getting mud on anything – thank goodness!! Drove myself home, and made it back to work at my regular time, and had to park on the 5th floor!!!! LOL! Oh, well, there is always tomorrow!!! 😉

What else?? Well, work went by quickly! I am so thankful for my girlfriend Chris, she is my office mate and partner in crime. Sometime she can talk me down from dramatic ledge on most any day – and lately, I have really needed it!!! Today was our first day that we are getting back to walking – that is such a great energizer especially during a stressful work day!!

After work today, I took myself to the track and I officially started training for the Susan G Komen 3-Day 60 Mile walk, it was only 1 1/2 miles, but it is a start!!! So, here we go – there is no turning back now! I am excited to accomplish this goal, not just for my mother, but also for myself. I have not been the #1 on my priority list in a VERY LONG time.

Chores: dishes, laundry, vacuum, oh my! Get the mail, pay bills, and bathe my girls – and that about sums my day up! Not too exciting, but there you go.

Have a fabulous night, I will try to write again tomorrow. I figure it would get pretty lonely around here if it weren’t for this little computer that my sweetie bought me. He may never know how much I appreciate that gesture.
Goodnight,
Christina 😉

I have a lot to do tomorrow, but not as much as today because Jason and I are going out with friends to a new restaraunt tomorrow (well, it is new to Jason and I!)

You know, I have been thinking about this question a lot, “What would I do if I were to lose my job tomorrow?” I want to make sure that I am in a situation where, if I were to lose my position, my world would not come to a crashing halt!!! I am not sure what those steps to shore up my foundation are going to look like, or maybe I have already started the process, but I am committing now to live my BEST LIFE EVER! To live like I was meant to live, in the here and now. With grattitude, love, and generosity!!

One of my favorite quotes of all times is:

“God has a bigger dream for your life than you could ever dream for yourself!”

I have always known from a very young age that God has big plans for my life. I have never really been sure what those plans were, or when he was going to give me a glimpse of those plans, but I have come to realize that the time to act is NOW. I need to stop waiting for THE BIG SIGN, and understand that God has been working in all of the LITTLE OPPORTUNITIES that he has laid in my path, and it has always been up to me whether or not to act on those moments. I am tired of stepping over those little opportunities, and I am not going to step over them ANYMORE!!! NOW IS THE TIME FOR ACTION! NOW IS THE TIME FOR VICTORY!!! If I can change even one person’s life by sharing my journey, then THAT is proof of a bigger dream for me than even I had!!!

As the Black eyed Peas, so poetically said:

“LET’S GET IT STARTED!!!”

Until tomorrow!

Daily Update!

Today has been a really busy, and a REALLY Productive day!!!

I have started making Crystal Rock candy – I hope it turns out, but I won’t know for about a week or so, so I will keep you posted!!! I think it would be a ton of fun if I could do like a live webcam, but then maybe watching sugar crystals form on a string in a jar really isn’t THAT exciting – GO FIGURE!!!

However, I do get to actually cross something off of my list today, and that is my desire to crochet a wrag rug!!! YEAH! IT IS ALL DONE!!! This thing was soooo much harder than I thought it was going to be. I had taken yards and yards of red fabrid – from my apartment renting days (I covered walls in red fabric because it was my favorite color, but I couldn’t paint as a renter). Anyway, I spent quite of bit of time tearing the fabric into long strips, knotting the strips together, and then creating a “yarn” ball that grew to be a little bit bigger than the size of a basketball!!! It was soooo heavy!!! Now, I realize it may sound like I am complaining, but I am just soooo happy that all of that hard work paid off, although I may now have a definitely noticeable larger right arm from all of the muscle crocheting this thing has developed!! This rug now lives in my kitchen, and it is about 3 feet wide, 2.5 feet deep, and is sooooooo sumptuously comfy underfoot!!!! I know it will be a nice change while standing at the sink washing vegetables or doing dishes!!! Even my husband was pleasantly surprised to see the finished product – he wasn’t sure what to think of the idea of crocheting a rug out of rags!!! FUN!!!

Anyway, I have a big day tomorrow, with lots to do:

  • Write my sponsor child
  • Order my sweetie a tie
  • Get to work on time
  • 30 minute walk
  • 1/2 hour bike ride
  • Read 3 chapters of the Bible
  • Read 1 chapter of Success Principles, and do any homework
  • File household paperwork for 20 minutes
  • Blog
  • Schedule 1st meeting of my new Jane Austen book club
  • Create weekly menu
  • Grocery shop for healthy food
  • Work for at least 1/2 an hour on “Million Dollar Idea!”
  • Practice piano for at least minutes
  • Get to work on time
  • Make the bed
  • Make sure to floss
  • Do at least 30 sit ups in one sitting
  • Bring early Christmas gift in to office

Whew!!! I will let you know how I do with all of that tomorrow!!

Daily Update!

If I want to be something different, then I have to do something different!!!
I am happy to announce that my sweetie and I FINALLY have gotten our gym membership!!! Whew!!! We have been hemming and hawing about it for so long, that I made him make a left into the parking lot at the last minute just so we could get then dang thing done!!! It was GREAT timing too, because since it is so late in the month – they gave us the rest of the month for free, which means I don’t have to pay for our membership until NEXT month – my birthday to be exact!!! 😉

Anyway, I am off to bed so we can get up early and get exercising!!! I am going to download a new fiction book to my i-pod so I have something good to listen to!!!
Good night, and until tomorrow!!!

Thursday Update!

Ok, so I would love to tell you that I have made a ton of progress on my goals today, but in all honestly – I took a sick day today and slept most of my day away…

I am feeling better this evening, and I can’t wait to get back to work tomorrow – being home sick alone is sooooo loney!!! Oh, that sounds sad – but did I mention that I slept most of my day away? Ok, so I guess I didn’t really have too much time to sit around lonely!

My sis-in-law and her two kids came over tonight and made dinner! They all are now out swimming with Jason – I am a little jealous, but it’s all good!!!

I added goals to my Life List last night – I haven’t taken the time to count how many there are, but as you can see (on the left hand side of the screen) there are a lot!!! I do have a few more that I am going to add tonight, and I am not planning on spending any more time trying to think of more – I am just going to keep cranking on getting the accomplished!!!

I have a lot of work to do tomorrow on my goals:

  1. Spend 15 minutes visualizing accomplishing each goals
  2. Call the local community shelter to find out how to go about volunteering
  3. Research how to go about writing a will
  4. Walk a mile
  5. Spend 1 hour filing paperwork
  6. Turn in application for community theatre
  7. Kiss Jason for 3 minutes straight
  8. Rough draft a first copy of my children’s book
  9. Read through my entire Life List
  10. Pre-plan the next day’s goal steps

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I missed my weigh-in day yesterday, so I weighed in this morning and lost .4 lbs, which is pretty cool, because even thogh it is a tiny loss, it is still a loss and I think that makes 3 weeks of loss in a row!!!

So, I am tired, and am going to hit the hay early!!! I hope to give you an update tomorrow!
Good night!
