Weekly Art Journal #9

Oh my, I just realized I still haven’t posted my detailed post for my weekly Art Journal #9, which was actually posted last week! So, you will get two posts from me today!! 😉

Well, my Weekly Art Journal #9 is ready for your viewing pleasure!! 🙂

Materials I used for this spread:

  • Dylusion Spray Inks: Fresh Lime, Pure Sunshine, London Blue, Vibrant Turquise, and White Linen
  • Ranger Paint Dauber: Black soot
  • A magazine cutout – used as a stencil mask
  • Cardstock for printing my sentiment on
  • Pentel Arts Color Pens (fine point): Yellow (S360-105), Teal (S360-110), Medium Blue (S360-136), Dark Blue (S360-103)
  • Molotow Acrylic Premium Paint Pen: Black, and White
  • Hero arts French Script mounted stamp
  • Ranger Archival Black Ink Pad
  • Black Pilot Marksall pen

DSC06171

My motivation for this spread was hands down my weekend with Dyan Reaveley, learning from her in her EXCELLENT, and ABSOLUTELY FUN art journaling technique classes!! 😉 If you missed out on that, you can read about that here!DSC06179

This was a completely different kind of technique for me, so I was a little nervous to see how it would turn out!DSC06185

Something I didn’t think about when I created my mask out of a magazine image: If you see the magazine image, it is a very happy looking woman, but when you only see the silhouette of that same image, it is reading as a very depressed woman!! OOPSIE!! Not what I was going for!! But I won’t be too hard on myself about that! 😉

DSC06175

I really love all of the different color variations and textures that come from using the Delusion sprays through stencils!! I am going to run out and invest in every color!! 😉DSC06169

I really loved the look of the script letter stamp showing through the background of the masked silhouette!! I think I would have liked it even better if the words were larger! 🙂DSC06174

I also had a lot of fun doodling on this page – the white on black and the black on the colorful section! I may have to do that more often! 🙂DSC06187

Overall, I am very happy with how this spread turned out!! What do you think?

If you have any ideas, or techniques that you might like to see me try in one of my future layouts, please let me know in the comment section and I will see what I can do to be accommodating! Also, I really do LOVE answering any questions you may have about art journaling, mixed-media, or anything you might have seen me do here! Please feel free to ask questions in the comments, and I will try and get back to you in a timely manner!!

Until next time…er…later today! 🙂

Here is to another FABULOUS week! 🙂

A FABULOUS weekend with Dyan Reaveley!

Good afternoon!

This past weekend, I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to spend the entire weekend taking four, in-person, art journaling classes with one of my FAVORITE artists, Dyan Reaveley!!!

1

YEAH!!! WHOO!! HOO!!!

Meeting Dyan Saturday morning was literally like meeting a ROCK STAR!!!!

Her GORGEOUS bright red hair, her FABULOUS one-of-a-kind vintage-inspired dresses, her KICKY SASSY attitude, was less than two feet away from my AWESOME front row seat in class – ALL WEEKEND!!!!

One of Dyan's journal pages

One of Dyan’s journal pages

Yes, I was that sad, silly, groupie who pretty much just stared in awe, with my mouth agape like a lunatic, but even now, I can still hardly believe that not only did I get to meet her, I got to be involved in four of her AMAZINGLY CREATIVE classes!!

Christy Woods, of Runaway Arts & Craft Studio, with Dyan Reaveley!

The classes…OH MY!!!

Well, wait, let me back up a little. The classes were held at my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE arts and craft store here in Salem, Runaway Art & Craft Studio! When Christy Wood, of Runaway, told me that Dyan Reavely would be coming to teach classes, I immediately told her to SIGN ME UP!!! I didn’t care what they cost, or what the topics were going to be, Dyan could have been teaching SQL computer programming, or the benefits of biofusion on our political economy and I would have been there, with bells on, in the front row, smiling like a crazy fool, just excited to be able to be in the room!!

16811_771637406241824_7087645531283269060_n

Also, for some unknown reason, all of the class samples that Dyan had sent ahead of her arrival never actually made it to the store, so none of the participants really knew what to expect for any of the classes, but I for one was pretty much just game for anything, and was feeling pretty excited just to be there – the making of anything awesome was just going to be an extra perk of the classes!!

2

So, on Saturday, I awoke early, got showered, dressed, ate my breakfast, and pretty much just paced around the house, full of anticipation, until it was FINALLY time to get to class!! After stopping off to get a GINORMOUS peppermint mocha (which was really just a distraction technique), I was FINALLY seated and ready for the first class to start, which was the Technique Tag Book class! The class lasted 2 1/2 hours, and Dyan basically took you through how to use her Dylsion spray inks, which I am now a firm believer are ESSENTIAL to my art journaling stash!! The class was vert fast paced, but not too fast that you couldn’t keep up with what was happening! The time flew, and before I realized it, the class was over and I had in my hot little hands my very first Tag book!! That I had created!!! Who knew????

4

3

We had about an hour to kill in between classes, and for me, and I am sure a lot of us who attended, meant SHOPPING!!! 😉 One of the cool things about taking any classes at Runaway is that Christy offers 15% off of any of your purchases that you make in the store on the day of your class – so you had BETTER BELIEVE I took ADVANTAGE of THAT!!! 😉

1476050_771637466241818_5754452214618053167_n

The next class was called Tags of Imagery, which is Dyan’s take on collage – bright, colorful, sassy, a little bit rock star, and LOADS OF FUN!! (Just like Dyan!!) Collage and I have never made great bed fellows, as I have always been too uptight/perfectionistic and collage has always seemed too loosey-goosey, and honestly has always just stressed me out! I am not sure if it was the way that Dyan taught us, or if it were the fact that she was the one teaching the class, but I REALLY LOVED this class!!! It made me want to go home and start ripping out images from every magazine I could get my hands on and start putting my little funky peeps together and plaster them on EVERYTHING!!! 😉 At the end of the three hours I walked away with three colorfully fun tags that I can honestly say are MAKING MY DAY when I look at them!!! 😉

A pile of everyone’s tags from class! COLORFUL!! 😉

There was even some news media that caught us in the act!! 🙂

The last class of the day was called Inky Watercolor Book which built upon everything we had already been learning throughout the day, but then Dyan gave us a chance to play with her Dylusions spray inks inside of the Tim Holtz water color brushes! I was really looking forward to this part of the class. She also taught us a book binding stitch – I can’t remember what she called it, but she has inspired me to get creating my own journals to share with friends and family!!! WAAAAAY easier than I ever expected! I LOVE THAT!!! 😉

I am not sure why, but I do not seem to have taken any pictures of this class, I think I was too heads down playing at this point, but I did find a pic of someone else’s project to share with you!

10364015_670722033000029_5383250243665193235_n

I went home, happy, and EXHAUSTED!!! Crashed in bed, as soon as my head hit the pillow, but unfortunately my brain was so excited to get back to class the next day that at 1:30 AM I was up and ready to go! I never did get to fall back to sleep that night, but that still didn’t seem to lesson my excitement any!!

Sunday morning, I was up and at em, ready and waiting in class, with another GIANORMOUS peppermint mocha to help get me through the day! That day was going to be filled with one 8 1/2 hour class, which was called Art Journaling Extravaganza! This class was all about putting it all together and creating a very personalized art journal using one of Dyan’s AWESOME Dylusion’s journal books, which just happens to have the thickest, richest, creamiest paper, formulated perfectly for using with Dyan’s Dylusions spray inks!

A VERY full class!!

A VERY full class!!

This class was hands down my FAVORITE!!! She gave you permission to rip out pages, make a mess, cut pages, get inky, have fun, be free, and try new things, over and over and over and over again, and not take yourself or the process too seriously!!! By the end of the day, we each had at least a half full journal started to collage, paint, write, and doodle in to our hearts content!!! I know that my Dylusions journal has become a very good friend that is going to be carried with me a LOT!!! 😉 Souds melodramatic, maybe, but take the class – I am sure you will feel the SAME WAY!!! 😉

Here are a few of my FAVORITE pages in Dylusions journal, just started, mind you, but well on their way!! 🙂

At the end of the day, we were all beat, but I wanted to stick around a little bit to chat with Dyan, and have her sign my journal, which she so graciously did – thank you, Dyan!! After some encouraging words from her, that literally left me speechless, I knew that this weekend was serendipitous, and I wasn’t meant to be anywhere else this weekend!!! 😉

Dyan checking out some of my artwork!! AIEEEEE!

Dyan checking out some of my artwork!! AIEEEEE!

My sweetie and I decided to stick around and help clean up, since the normally neat store looked like elephants had run through the place, which I guess we had – creatively FABULOUS elephants that is!! 😉 And if I didn’t think that my weekend could have gone any better, Christy invited my sweetie and I to join the Runaway team and Dyan for dinner…UHMMMMMM…YES PLEASE!!!! 😉 I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better weekend!! I mean what more could I possibly say??? I know I am gushing, but Dyan is really one of the most genuine, real, honest, no holds barred, women you could EVER meet, and at the same time she is generous, and creative, and beautiful, and WOW!!! SOOOO ENCOURAGING!!! 😉 Through her teaching of the classes and through our conversations throughout the weekend she really impresses upon you that you really can do seemingly hard things, if you break down into baby steps and you just do it piece by piece! That’s it – no need to make everything so freakin’ complicated!!

DSC06085 - Version 2

Ok, so I have rambled enough!! Don’t worry, Dyan, I will root you on from afar, (and hopefully get the opportunity to take many more classes from you in the future!) I promise no restraining orders will be necessary!!! 😉

DSC05949

Just one more thing, you should know, no one has paid me to say any of this, I am not affiliated with Dyan, or Ranger, or Runaway, although I am a SUPER HUGE fan of all three, all of the opinions expressed here are strictly my own and come from me!

If you have any questions, or comments, please feel free to leave them in the comments section here, and I will be happy to reply as soon as I am able!! 😉

Here is to a FABULOUS weekend past, and FABULOUS week to come!! 😉

DSC05876

Full confession…

I have been really under the weather this past week, struggling through a really bad cold! I think that the state of this spread shows that – at least to me! I really wasn’t feeling like arting at all, but I knew that I wanted to make sure that I kept this commitment, and I am learning that you may not always feel like doing something, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it just the same! So onward I pushed!

DSC05879

I was completely blank, so I decided to start by filling the spread with positive words! Not being a huge fan of my handwriting, I wanted to do something to hide my writing, and I thought that I could do this by covering the words with Gelatos. Gelatos are these really creamy, gel stick, acrylic paints, that when combined with water turn into a beautiful water color, but dry permanent, which I LOVE!

DSC05886

You may have also noticed that I was struggling with color selection, which is not something I usually struggle with, and let me just say that next week I am going to try and leave some white space on my spread! Anyway, as soon as I put down, what I thought was a dark blue, for my border, I wanted to quit this page! What a MESS!! However, I want to be able to show, not just to you, but to myself, that no matter what a mess you may run in to, there is always a way to work through it! So, I pushed through!

DSC05883

Then I decided to hand write my sentiment out onto card stock, which was fine, but I made a mistake. The pen I used to write the words, although says it is permanent, smudged as soon as I went to smudge the light blue Gelato that I had added to the words’ card stock! WHOOPSIE!!! Always know your tools!! 😉 I just rolled with it and did the same mistake on every word, so that way it might look like it was on purpose! I’m okay with it!

DSC05889

At this point, I just really, REALLY wanted to get this page done, and do it so that it at least looked like it belonged with my other art jouraling pages! I think I did end up doing just that! Even though, I can honestly admit that this is not my favorite spread, I am very happy that I did not give up on it! About halfway through I was ready to gesso the entire thing and start all over again, which I guess is a legitimate fix, but I really didn’t feel like having to start all over!

DSC05891

I also realized that my sentiment was absolutely perfect for this week! If I keep focusing on the good, and keep searching for it, I will find it! Even in this journal spread! So, I have come to the conclusion that even though my physical body is feeling under the weather, my subconscious is still as active as ever and trying to keep me on my creative path!! That puts this tired mind at ease!! It is the simple things in life that are the most important!!

DSC05881

If you have any ideas, or techniques that you might like to see me try in one of my future layouts, please let me know in the comment section and I will see what I can do to be accommodating! Also, I really do LOVE answering any questions you may have about art journaling, mixed-media, or anything you might have seen me do here! Please feel free to ask questions in the comments, and I will try and get back to you in a timely manner!!

Until next time!

Weekly Art Journal Thursday Video #7

Good afternoon!

I am just now posting my Weekly Art Journal Thursday Video #7. I know that it is not Thursday, but I have had family visiting this week, and then have been down with a persistent bug that doesn’t seem to want to go away!

So, better late than never!! 🙂

Here is this week’s video:

Here is a complete list of materials I used:

  • Delta Ceramcoat acrylic paints: OJ (02649), Pop Pink (02646)
  • DecoArt Crafter’s acrylic paint: Tropical Blue (DCA102)
  • Folk Art acrylic paint: Neon Pink (2850)
  • Liquitex white gesso
  • Miscellaneous sheets of deli paper that I had Gelli plated on a few weeks ago (video is posted below)
  • Scissors
  • Golden’s Fluid Gel medium
  • Ranger Dyan Reaveley’s Dylusions Stencil, 5 by 8-Inch, Blocks
  • Punchinella
  • Black Stabilo pencil
  • Water brush
  • Black pilot ink pen, from Scarlet Lime
  • White Signo ink pen
  • Thick carpenter #2 pencil
  • Paper towels
  • Black thread
  • Aleene’s Fast Grab Tacky Glue
  • Letter stamps
  • Ranger’s Archival Black ink pad

DSC05854

This week, I must confess, I was a bit distracted! I had family in town, and I was going to see if I could squeeze this spread, sneakily in, without cause for disruptions, which meant I was talking to my sissy while I got this layout started! You might notice that at some point in the video my jewelry disappears and I end up with black and white striped sleeves on! Yep, jewelry was me chatting with sissy, while creating, and jewelry-less was after they left, which by that point I was struggling through a really bad cold (those are PJ sleeves!)!! I am just thankful you can not hear all of my coughing going on!! 🙂

DSC05872

The only real plan I had for this spread was that I wanted to use some of the Gelli plated deli papers I had created a few weeks ago.

That video is located here:

I loved the way the deli papers ended up a little bit translucent so that the background could peek through.

DSC05869

What I didn’t like is that, because my attention was not 100% on what I was doing when I started this layout, I realized when I went back to finish this spread after my family had left, was that this page was a mess of colors!

DSC05862

I wasn’t really sure if it were going to be possible to tie it all together!

I loved the idea of using used paper towels as the background to my thought for this week, and I especially love the idea of adding some stitching on my sewing machine – I am going to have to use that technique more often!

DSC05860

and of course doodling!! You know I love me some doodling!!

DSC05873

The message of “Be Free” is particularly meaningful this week. You may know that I have been on hiatus from my analytical career for the past 5 months. Well, this week, I have made the decision that until my creative career gets off the ground, I am going to have to go back to that analytical job, at least until I can get my nest egg built back up again! This is not exactly what I want to do, but I know it is what I have to do if I truly want to be free!!! and FREEDOM is the goal!!

DSC05852

So, big changes are a-comin’!! I will keep you posted!! In the meantime I really hope you liked the way this week’s spread turned out! It ended up making me very happy!! 🙂

DSC05859

If you have any ideas, or techniques that you might like to see me try in one of my future layouts, please let me know in the comment section and I will see what I can do to be accommodating! Also, I really do LOVE answering any questions you may have about art journaling, mixed-media, or anything you might have seen me do here! Please feel free to ask questions in the comments, and I will try and get back to you in a timely manner!!

Until next time!

Have a FABULOUS week! 🙂

DSC05836Doing these cute long neck girls has been something of a hobby for me! A secret hobby, that not too many people in my life knew about!

DSC05840

Doing them on camera was quite another thing for me though! Talk about SCARY!! 🙂 I was sure that I was going to have some kind of panic attack and chicken out!! Thankfully that didn’t happen!!!

DSC05850

After all is said and done, I am very happy with the way that she has turned out – although, I can see a lot things that I can improve on next time, but that is what practice is for, isn’t it??

DSC05827

This sentiment was sooooo perfect for what was going on in my head while I was working on this little girl! I just kept thinking that “if I quit and started over doing a spread that was easier, no one would ever know!” but that was thing! I WOULD KNOW!!! So, I pushed through the fear and did it anyway!!

DSC05846

All in all, I would say that is a VERY GOOD thing!! I hope you enjoyed today’s video!! 🙂

If you would like to see my try anything specific in my art journal, like a new technique, or color scheme, or whatever, let me know and I will see what I can do! Also, if you have any questions or comments for me, just leave them in the comments section! I would be happy to hear from you!!

Here is to a FABULOUS day!! 🙂

Weekly Art Journal Video #5

DSC05806Good afternoon!

I am so happy to share that my 5th weekly art journal video is now posted out on YouTube:

I will tell you my thoughts behind this spread, but first here is a list of what supplies I used:

  • Apple Barrel acrylic paints: Bright Magenta (20591), Apricot (20764)
  • Liquitex Acrylic inks: Cerulean Blue Hue, Vivid Lime Green
  • Tim Holtz Stencils: Dot Fade, BubblesBlack Stabilo Alls pencil
  • Make-up sponge
  • 3 kinds of black and white wash tape – I don’t know what brand these are
  • Water brush
  • Black Pilot pen
  • White Signo pen
  • Thick #2 pencil
  • Regular #2 pencil
  • Card stock
  • Letter stamps
  • Black StazOn ink pad
  • Aleen’s tacky glue

DSC05780

When I started out to create this spread, I had no idea where I was going to go with it, so I thought I would just start adding paint and go from there! 🙂

DSC05787

I wanted a really bright happy kind of page, so I thought I would start with a very happy fuchsia pink! Once I started I didn’t want to stop!

DSC05809

Now that I have discovered Liquitex acrylic ink for dripping, I may have become a little bit obsessed! This time I wanted to try something different, and thought I would try first drawing shapes with the ink and then tipping the pages to get some varied drips on the page – I think this turned out pretty cool!

DSC05795

Then I wanted to add something new to my pages, and since I have such a huge stockpile of wash tapes, I thought what a better way to use some of my stash?

DSC05796

Then of course doodling is always a ‘Yes!’ I find that doodling is one of my go-to ways for letting my mind wander, and hearing those messages that my soul is trying to tell me but my mind gets too busy to listen to!

DSC05800

For some reason, this week, I just couldn’t get a feel for when this spread was finished. I just kept feeling like something was missing, but I just could not put my finger on what it was. I ended up walking away thinking I would just force it to be done, but my mind kept dwelling on the fact that something was still missing, and I finally realized what it was…

DSC05812

…the message that came to me during this time arting was “Be yourself everyone is already taken.” I realized that I wrote it down, but I still wasn’t listening to the actual message! The reason I was feeling like my spread wasn’t done was because I was still too busy comparing myself to other artists in my head, and I was feeling like I was lacking because my spreads don’t look like theirs! DUH! I GET IT!!! I am uniquely made, on purpose, EXACTLY as I was meant to be!! My artwork is mine alone too!! You can copy me, but it will still have your own take on it! I can copy you, but my own unique stank will be on the final result – ok, I realize that may not have been the coolest way to say that!! LOL!! but you know what I mean, don’t you??

DSC05814

Anyway, after I let my message sink into my brain, I realized my spread was not only done, it may just be my favorite spread up to date!!! YEAH!!! How is that for a 180???

Next week, I am hoping to get the cajones to share one of my long neck girl drawings, which is actually something I just LOVE to draw!!! It gives me the willies just to think of it, but you will see – I will bring it!!

Until then,

Here is to a FABULOUS week!! 🙂

Weekly Art Journal #4 Video

Good morning!

I am happy to announce that my weekly Art Journal video #4 has been posted to YouTube for your perusal!

http://youtu.be/QUh6p97oz1Y

  • Art Advantage Acrylic Paints: Cadmium Yellow Medium Hue, Cerulean Blue, Permanent Green Light
  • Lumiere Acrylic Paint Pearlescent Magenta (573)
  • Folk Art Acrylic Paint Neon Pink (2850)
  • Apple Barrel Acrylic Paint White (20403)

  • Ranger Stickles: Purple (SGG20615), True Blue (SGG29052), Waterfall (SGG20639)

  • Pink tissue paper (I had gotten in a birthday present gift)
  • Silver Butterfly wall decal – I am not sure the brand, but I found it in a set on clearance at Wallmart for $1
  • Aleen’s Tacky Glue

DSC05758

I had a lot of fun doing this spread this week! Unlike most weeks, where I am just winging it, this week I had a vague idea about what I wanted to do, but had really no idea what my thought was going to be, or how to pull it all together. It wasn’t until I was finally spending time arting in quiet, while I was actually doing these art journal pages, that it finally seemed to come together!

DSC05760

Did you notice how much gesso I used? ACK!!! I was very heavy handed, which means it really took forever to get that layer to dry! Matter of fact, it never did completely dry until the next day!! Too much gesso +  an immediate layer of gel medium + another layer of thick body acrylic paint = mamma-has-no-time-for-this-drying-craziness-so-I-had-best-be-careful-not-to-mess-this-up!!! 😉

DSC05755

I don’t really have any hard and fast rules for art journaling, or for mixed media in general, except for one, always ALWAYS let your layers dry thoroughly!! Unless you want them to blend together, smear, run, slide off, or flake off, than that is a different story, but I was having a heck of a time sticking to this rule for this spread! What can I say, patience is NOT one of my virtues! 🙂

As you may have probably noticed – I have a heck of a time getting drips to look right! I think I know how to do it, but when I am in full on “art mode”, the proper way to do this seems to slip my mind, and I find myself struggling to get the look right! Not to worry, though, this is all a learning process for me, and I know I will continue to get better! That is the point, right??? 🙂

I also have been wanting to find a really good quality neon fluorescent paint set! I did purchase a cheapie set this past week, but it was not a high quality brand, so there isn’t much pigment in the paint, which means I have to use A LOT of it to get the rich pop of color I am wanting, so I will keep looking! If I find a really good one I will let you know! ( I should’ve known – you get what you pay for!)

So, when I was stamping, to get more texture, I stamped right into a big glob of wet green thick body acrylic paint. This happens, and it is fine, and can add a lot more texture because it causes peaks and valleys in your acrylic paint if you let it dry that way, but make sure you stop what you are doing and clean your stamp thoroughly, right away! II have an old toothbrush on standby for just such occasions.) If you leave the acrylic to dry on your stamp, it will ruin your stamp, because it changes the shape of the stamps ridges. NOT what you want! I’m just saying’! 🙂

Anyway, although this may not be my favorite layout – I am not sure how I am digging this silver butterfly decal – it was a learning process, which is the point, as well as stopping just to listen to what your soul is saying to you, so in that way I LOVE this spread!!

Now for your input, do you have any questions, or comments for me? Is there any kind of mediums or techniques you would like me to use in future videos? Just let me know in the comment section of either my blog, here, or at my YouTube channel, and I will try and get a timely response to you! 🙂

As usual, I went into this journal spread without any real idea about what it was I was wanting to journal! I did, however, know that I wanted to use the color pink.

DSC05412

After I had gotten a wash of the color pink down, all I could think was “This page is VERY Pepto Bismol”! I knew it was time to pull out some more paint colors to add to the mix! Thankfully, out came my turquoise and Canary Yellow! After those colors were laid down, I was much happier with where this spread was heading!

Every week, I try to change things up just a little by adding a newly discovered technique, or a new product to the spread! This week I had added marks using a black Stabilo pencil! I LOVE this pencil!! I now want to find one in brown!!! It sounds like it writes on all sorts of surfaces, but for my art journaling page, it writes like a charcoal pencil, but add water to it, and it smudges up nice and dark – as you might have noticed in the video. I noticed when I dried it with my heat tool, it did dry a bit more transparent than what I had expected, but overall I still really love this product!

This week, I really wanted to grunge up my spread a little more than normal, giving it more of an antique-ey/aged looked. I did this by adding various marks with Stabilo pencil, black ink with a pen, and a #2 pencil! I really like the way that this turned out and I am thinking that this technique is going to stick around!

I also really like to add highlights using my white Signo pen, especially when you want something to pop off of dark areas of your spread! 🙂

You may already know this, but while I am doing my weekly spreads, I make it a point not to try and stay in quiet so that I can hear what message my soul is trying to tell me, so that I can share it on my journal spread. This week was no different! I also added some of my words of truth throughout my spread in various places using my Scarlet Lime Pilot pen, and then I heard this message loud and clear, and just new that I needed to share this as my main message for this week:

“For an authentic life, remove anything that does not honor you.”

This is a thought that I have been trying to consciously implement in my life over the past 6 months!

As you may have noticed, I LOVE adding words to my spreads using rubber stamps, Archival ink and card stock, which are actually recycled business cards – I bet you didn’t know that!! 🙂 Anyway, this week I wanted to change that up by adding some of my own handwriting! I don’t normally like my handwriting, but I thought I would ’embrace the messy’ and just go for it!!  I like the way that it turned out!

This week’s art journal spread is my favorite so far! I am really loving this weekly challenge that I have placed on myself, and cannot wait to see how my technique evolves over the next few weeks!! If you would like to follow along, please subscribe to this blog, and my YouTube channel!

I would also LOVE to hear anythings thoughts, comments, or questions you may have!! Maybe we can learn more together!! 🙂

Here is to a FABULOUS day!! 🙂
