Inspirational Thought and a Monthly Giveaway!

Good evening!

I am so excited to let you know that tonight I am doing my very first monthly giveaway! However, before I get to that I wanted to share tonight’s inspiration thought! πŸ™‚

“Why should we all use our creative power…? Because there is nothing that makes people so generous, joyful, lively, bold and compassionate, so indifferent to fighting and the accumulation of objects and money.”

~Brenda Ueland

Now for my first monthly giveaway! YEAH!!

I am happy to announce that I will be gifting the book “Inner Excavation: Explore Your Self Through Photography, Poetry and Mixed Media” written by Liz Lamoreux to one lucky winner.

Inner Excavations

The way to get your chance to win this lovely book, all you need to do is to answer this question in the comment section of this post:

If you knew that you could not possibly fail to make your dream life come true, what would you do starting tomorrow to make that happen?

That is it. Sounds easy enough right? I will post the winner in tomorrow night’s post, which will come out at 6 PM Pacific Time.

Good luck to all of you, and I can not WAIT to read your answers! πŸ˜‰

Here is to a FABULOUSLY ARSTY evening! πŸ˜‰

If you want to have a different life, you have to live differently!!

If I knew that my dream life would become a reality I would quit my afternoon job tomorrow and sew all of those things I have been too busy to sew.

If I knew that I could not possibly fail to make my dream life come true, what would I do … starting tomorrow … to make that happen?

Exactly what I AM doing tomorrow … sending out a letter to a list of friends and family that have asked me what I’m working on … sharing the vision and asking for their encouragement and support in this journey!! :o)

I’m directing my first feature length documentary movie and hoping to bring it to at least 3 film festivals in the next 12 months or so.

I think I would start college to study psychology and become a therapist/ councilor. I would also start looking for the place I wanna live while I do this as a vocation.

Good question to reflect upon πŸ™‚ If my dream life is guaranteed, I would proceed to finish a course that I started, without fear of economic or emotional failure. It is the fear of failure that glues many people to the same spot where they stagnate.

    1. Christina Post author

I ABSOLUTELY, HANDS DOWN AGREE!! If only we can all hold hands, face the fear, and just do it anyway, then just how far could we go???

We could conquer the world! Or, well, at least, each of our own worlds lol! Great Post, thanks again for inspiring self-reflection and insight in each of us πŸ™‚

Hmm, that’s a rather good question. I’d wake up tomorrow, pack my one bag and I’d hit the road because I write best when somewhere new. Somewhere to spark a little bit of creativity. And I think I’d just keep on going till I finally had enough material, then I’d move to that lovely little town I’m eyeing at the base of the Cascade mountains. I’d just keep writing things that gave people something to chuckle and laugh about. You know, distract them from the dull of everyday and give them something that might lift their souls a bit.

Thanks a million for the prompt! It really gave me something to think about!

Maybe one day I will get the chance to visit you in your little town at the base of the Cascade Mountains, and spend some time visiting and reading what you wrote! That truly sounds like my kind of fun! Thank you for sharing!

Me? I would wake up early as the sun blinked it’s eye up over the dawn and notice it- I would notice everything, for these would be the markings of the day when the dream of the good thing – the good offering from my life would come true. I would then write. Writewritewritewritewrite . . . write . . . notice . . . pause . . . appreciate . . . writewritewrite. Then I would hold my head up above the day, above the closing of the eye of the sun, and watch the melting of color that will become the continued birthing of my calling, my dream, the promise of my life. And then . . . I would notice . . . .

This is beautiful, and I can really appreciate the taking the time to notice, because this is something we all have a tendency to not do. We get so busy doing what we are doing that you forget to enjoy the moments as you are they are passing, not realizing that these moments are what life is all about! Thank you for sharing!

I would buy, not rent (because I can’t fail right?), a moving truck and go on a several month trip around the United States buying fun vintage things and antiques to fill my successful new antiques emporium!!!

    1. Christina Post author

Hmmmm…this would be so much fun! I may have to get my truck too, and we can create a road trip of treasure hunting caravan-ers!!!

To help others see themselves how God sees them, to motivate them to live healthy and fit lives. Basically be a life coach. To believe in someone when they can’t believe for themselves. πŸ™‚

Oh Christina! This is a dreamy and scary question! I’d quit my day job and focus all my attention on painting. I’d like to say I’d move somewhere tropical but that will have to wait till our daughter is out of school! Thanks for the opportunity to win!
