My Art Studio!

Good morning!

I am so excited to be posting this, this morning!

I started cleaning my “art studio” in my house, last Saturday! I thought it would be something that I could just take a weekend and get it done, BUT what it actually ended up being was the entire weekend, and every available hour all week, and part of another weekend to get this place under control!!

I went through every box, cubby, file, container, bucket, and every nook and cranny to make sure I touched EVERYTHING!!! Making sure that every single thing that I came across would be allowed to stay in my creative space!!

I am happy to report that it is now FINISHED!!! Whoo! Hoo!! 😉 Even though I realize that this room may stay this pristine for all of 5 minutes, at least I have photographic evidence that it was done, at one moment in time!! 😉

The last thing that I want to do in this room, decorating-wise is to skirt the tables so that all of my miscellaneous clutter…er, I mean supplies are hidden. In the meantime, I am just so excited to get in here and start creating again!!

Here is to a FABULOUS day!! 😉

Christina-this is a beautiful and cozy art studio! I bet you love working in there! I go in spurts where I clean mine up and then let it get messy again until I can’t take it anymore.

Yes, Jill, that is exactly how I am too, I can put blinders on for a little while and then it is like I can see all of this clutter for the first time and it bugs me until I get it all cleaned up again, and only then can I get back to creating in my space!! Bt yes, I really am so thankful for my artsy space!!!

    Christina,
I love your studio! I especially like the jars of markers, glitter glue and boxes of ephemera. We should get a group together to do an ephemera swap!!!! Like all artists, we ebb and floe with how much messiness lends to creativity and how much lends to insanity! If you saw my recent studio/office redo post, I can guarantee you that it doesn’t look like that anymore!!!! Looking at your studio (yeah, that picture of Audrey Hepburn) I can tell we are kindred spirits so I am going to start following your blog too. Blessings, Helen

Thank you so much,. Helen, for your very kind words! 🙂 I am looking forward to getting to know you better too, and have really enjoyed reading your blog, and will do so often!!! It is always a blessing to find our kindred spirits out in the blogging world – one of the reasons I LOVE doing it!!
I will talk to you soon!!
