Chunky Dunker’s Night!

Good evening!

Welcome to Chunky Dunker’s Night here at Christinaville! Chunky Dunker’s night is a casual, but fun group for people from all walks of life to get together online to support one another in their health and fitness goals, whether it be to lose a few pounds, or to do one situp; I am very happy to welcome you here every Wednesday evening, where we “meet” in the comments section to catch up, share hints, tips, and ideas and to just encourage each other as we go through our health &  fitness path together!!

Well, this week…ok, let’s face it, I am not doing so hot on my consistency, so I am sure my weight is not quite heading down in the right direction yet. I do great throughout my workday, where I have pre-packed lunch box ready for my healthy breakfast, snack, lunch, and snack to get me through my day. I have always had an easy time drinking my water, it is generally about the only thing I drink, so that is not a problem. The places where I am really struggling is dinner, and the weekends, and not getting enough exercise, hardly any, matter of fact!

Dinner is hard, by the time I get home, I am hungry, and if I’ve had a bad day I want to comfort myself with food, if I have had a good day, I want to celebrate with food. We are doing better at cooking healthy meals for dinner, but I am sure that our portions are still much too large. As for the weekends, I find that I do not enough structure in my days to make sure that I am eating regularly – I have a very bad habit of skipping snacks and meals, and ending up so hungry that I don’t care what I eat as long as it is yummy, and if it is a comfort food, all the better. At least in the moment – not so much for trying to lose weight!

As for the exercising??? Well, in all honesty I am so sore all the time. I know this can’t be a new story for everyone, there has to be others out there who feel the same way, but my knees, ankles, feet, and now my lower back seem to almost constantly hurt. It really is a problem. You know the ironic thing is that I have an indoor pool at my house. I could swim every evening – if I WANTED to!!! Maybe that is the problem, I haven’t gotten sick enough of being overweight to really take some serious action on getting it taken care of!!

But, I am recommitting myself to get back on my own wagon, and to get moving, even if it is just for single digit minutes at a time!!! I am worth it, and I really can do it – with patience and CONSISTENCY!!!

Go Chunky Dunkers!!!

🙂

Have a FABULOUS evening!!! ;-)

Long story short….they messed up on my test again so I had to take it for a third time. I have gone and got a test done every week for a month because of how many times they messed up on it.

Faye is sitting next to me, and she is not doing so hot. When Jason picked her up this evening, he pointed out that one side of her face is really swollen – and it totally is, she looked completely normal this morning. So that means she is going to have to go to the vet, which means another vete bill! Eek!! Probably an abscessed tooth!! 🙁

Chicken Ranch Croissants: Take 4 chicken breast, shredded, mixed in a bowl with one package of softened cream cheese, and one package of ranch dressing mix. Spoon a little of the mixture onto a croissant roll (before baked), roll, and bake as instructed, or until dough is completely done. I hear kids love this!! 🙂

WOW! That does sound good and fattening. Now if you eat only 1 with a salad or veggie soup… you will be fine,

I was thinking light cream cheese, maybe add some steamed brocolli to the mix, and see if you can find the whole wheat rolls – Jennifer can find those in Roseburg! 🙂 Might be a little healthier!

Jay and Alex, how did your water goals go?? I think I hit mine every day, but that is because water is usually the only thing I drink! 🙂

Man, Faye’s poor little face, she looks like she is cheeking a mini marshmallow!! kind of like a squirrel!!! Cute, but oh soooo sad!!

Ha! Ha! Funny!! Faye would love that!! but, we have figured out how to get Sophie to eat her cookie right away, break it in half. She is terrified that if she doesn’t eat both halves, sister will come and eat one!! 😉

Ok, so what if we split the goals?? Some of us do the water intake goal, and the other part of us do an exercise goal. We choose, which we want! What do you think??

I have been doing fine with what I eat accept for the past few weeks…I have either had fried food from a restaurant, chips, and sweets because I have been making sweets for a fundraiser for a friend who is dying from cancer.

Ok, so if anyone else comes along and wants to join in our weekly goal, they can just say what their goal is and we can cheer everyone on!!! 🙂

Last year, for me, I lost 45 pounds just walking three times a week. I am always moving at work and never been able to lose weight. So I really need to getting back to harder workout. I also need to go back to no chips or fried foods. It wont do me any good on weight loss, but still shouldnt have it.
