Good afternoon!
Before I spend the afternoon playing in my art studio, I just wanted to share that SOMEBODY went to the craft store today…hmmmm…that someone was MEEEE!! I am SUCH a sucker for a trip to the CRAFT STOOOORE!!! Ok, so I MAY have gone a LITTLE overboard!!! EEK!!!
Please tell me I am not the only one who has this issue!!! LOL!!
OH, but I did tell the cashier that I was a mixed media artist!! YEAH ME!! π
Stay tuned…I will post my next project this evening!!
Have a FABULOUS afternoon!!
Are you kidding? How could you POSSIBLY think you’re alone????? The staff at my local Michael’s, Aaron Brother’s, Beverly’s and JoAnne’s (not to mention the locally owned scrapbook, bead and stamp stores) salivate when they see me come in the door! I don’t even want to THINK about the $ amount of product I have stuffed into my workroom! Heeheehee!
Isn’t there some saying about the one who dies with the most supplies, wins!?
Now if I just spent as much time actually USING them as I do BUYING them…
I bet it felt so great to say you are a mixed media artist!!!
Yes, it did! After I said it, I even did that shifty-eye thing to see if anyone was going to call me a FRAUD!! NO ONE DID!!! WHEW!! and I felt like a MILLION BUCKS!!! π
LOL!! I can TOTALLY relate to your thought “Now if I just spent as much time actually USING them as I do BUYING them⦔!! God Bless my hubbie – I don’t know how he puts up with all of my STUFF!!! π Thanks for making me feel “normal”!!! π
Intervention for artists… that may need to be a new TV show!
HAHAHA! Well, honey, you HAVE to know that NO ONE can play me, but ME, DAH-LING!!! π
What? That’s all you bought? Just kidding. Looks like a nice haul. I have so much stuff I’ve accumulated over the years I need to be banned from all stores until I use what I have. But, Michaels has a penny sale this week……..
LOL!! OOH!! Penny sale??? I may have to get my tennies on and head back out!!! Thanks for the heads up – so much for my intervention!! LOL!! π
You are not alone, my friend!! I probably need to go through my studio and better organize it but I can not pass up a trip to the craft stores….there always seems to be one more item I NEED! π xo Renee
I know what you mean! Just when I get my craft room exactly the way I want it, with a home for everything, I spend a day shoppping for treasures and I come home and realize I have to find MORE HOMES for MORE THINGS!!!! EEK!! Vicious cycle, but SO MUCH FUN!!! π
Christina – Hope you have a fabulous time playing with all your new goodies. Embrace your title artist. Best, Kim
Thank you, Kim! π
No matter how few things I need going into an art supply store, I always manage to spend a good couple of hours in them. Even back before I took up painting I loved art supplies stores, although they always made me feel a bit sad and wistful as well because I didn’t know how to use any of the materials so I just sort of looked at things longingly.
And you thought you were alone… π
Me too! We must be kindred spirits, because I have always had the same kind of love affair with art supplies!! π
