An Eye-Opening Dream!

I just awoke from a late-in-the-day nap, and had the most AMAZING dream! This is really HUGE news to me, because I am an uber-creative person and I have somehow lost the ability to dream, which is REALLY FRUSTRATING!!!

Anyway, I dreamed I was spending the day hanging out with the most zany, eccentric, and FABULOUSLY CREATIVE artists. There was a textile artist, an architect, an interior designer, a multi-media artist, and a party planner. My role in this dream was as investigative reporter; I was able to ask them as many questions as I could think of: how did they get started? what inspires them? what advice would you give to a newbie artist? etc. etc.

Wouldn’t that JUST BE THE BEST JOB EVER!!! To be able to spend the day with people that intrigue you, asking them all sorts of questions and just soaking up their answers!?!??! To someone who LOVES to collect information, that would be PHENOMENAL!!! I think I may have just found my life’s calling!! I would love to hear your thoughts!!!

As for my to-do list from today:

  • Blog – Done (twice!)
  • Walking plan – 3 miles – took a nap instead! (SAD, I KNOW!!)
  • Track food – Done
  • Drink 2 Liters of water – Done
  • Spend at least an hour filing paperwork – Done (Actually spent about 6 hours doing this)
  • Read for at least 1/2 an hour – Done first thing this morning!
  • Write letter to sponsor child – Sadly, not done yet!
  • Schedule teeth cleaning appointment – Done
  • Schedule yearly exam – Done
  • Schedule mammogram – will do at yearly exam
  • Order credit reports – will do tomorrow
  • Organize this month’s bills – Will do in the morning
  • Create/update electronic monthly bill tracker – Started
  • Catalog paper books – I am going to save this one for a time when my sister can come over and help me do this!
  • Laundry – Started
  • Sort Magazines for donation/Recycling – Have not started yet!

Whew!!! I am glad I snuck that nap in, I REALLY needed that!!! For tomorrow, I have to make walking, and the letter to my sponsor child my number one and two priorities!!

I also want to make sure I update my read list for 2011, which means I will have to remove my read list of 2010 from my sidebar. So, I don’t lose this, I thought I would post this, one last time, here:

1. City of Bones
2. The Lightning Thief
3. Pride & Prejudice
4. City of Ashes
5. City of Glass
6. Burned
7. Queen of Your Own Life
8. Eat Your Way to Health
9. Artemis Fowl
10. The Sea of Monsters
11. The Titan’s Curse
12. Battle of the Labyrinth
13. The Last Olympian
14. Suddenly Supernatural School Spirit
15. The Tapestry
16. The Red Pyramid
17. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
18. The Name of This Book Is Secret
19. Curly Girl
20. To Love a Rogue
21. Success Principles
22. The French Woman’s Guide to Style
23. The Five Dysfunctions of a Team
24. Clockwork Angel
25. The Lost Heroes
26. Give It Up! My Year of Learning to Live Better with Less

I had so much fun reading these. This is not my all-time-high, 26, but I think this was a good compromise!!! This, for me, averages to about reading 1/2 an hour most days. The most books I have ever read in one year was 49, and I felt like I was basically doing nothing but reading all year!!! Let see what books I read this year!!

I also want to add a list of links to my favorite blogs on my side-bar! I am going to have to get knowledgeable on how more of these link-y things work, so wish me luck!!!

On a side note: I wanted to give a shout out to my little sister, Jennifer – I am currently savoring one of the crystal candies you gave me at Christmas – honey, you KNOW that those are my favorite!!! THEY MAKE ME SOOOO HAPPY!!! I love you!

Until tomorrow…

Have a FABULOUS evening!! πŸ˜‰

You know I really like that dream you had! That is very interesting! I had never thought of you doing that type of job, but oooh wee! It’s because of all the books we have been going through and logging. Then with all the organizing you have been doing…how could you not dream that. You have so many things and questions running through your head. Very cool!!!!

I psycho-analyzed myself and realized that collecting information is something that I LOVE to do, always have, I just never saw it that way! I collect info through books, magazines, my internet time, television, and even when I am talking with my friends! It is even why I “fell into” the job that I currently have! Collecting info feeds the curiosity in me!!
