One of the things that I live for every week is swimming with my family! Every week I tell myself that I need to get out my camera and take new pictures of those kiddos, and every week, we spend so much time having fun that I forget to actually do it!! They are growing soooo much this Summer. I am just AMAZED at how much they grow from week to week! I must be getting older because I catch myself looking at them and realizing that it is going to be like a blink of my eye and before I know it they will be all grown up! I hope they know how much I love them!! My plan is to live it up with them for as long as I can!!! Good night my little sweet babboos!!! 😉 Your Auntie Chrissy loves you more that you will EVER know!!! 😉
I am on my way upstairs to go to bed, but I thought I would just stop and recommend a lovely book to you that I just finished reading. The book is called The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. The entire book is written as if you are reading correspondence letters, so it was a little jarring at first, but once you get a couple of pages in you start getting so invested in the story’s characters that you will just not want to put this read down!!! The story is about the lovable, heartwarming, and quirky people of Guernsey Island who survived the military occupation of the Channel islands by Germany during World War II. I found myself laughing, gasping, shouting, and even sometimes crying at different times of this book. This is one book that I HIGHLY recommend to those who want to be whisked away to a simpler time, to a beautiful, picturesque island, where family, friends, and love has come together to beat all odds. If you get a chance to read this book, please let me know your thoughts in the comments above – I always love to chat books!!!
WOW!! My mind is going a million miles an hour right now – I am having a hard time just keeping up with my thoughts as I am sitting here typing this!!!
Let’s start by just saying ALL HELL IS BREAKING OUT AT WORK RIGHT NOW!!!! That is as much as I am going to say about that because 1) I really would like to keep my job 2) I am not here to bash, whine, complain, or be a downer and 3) I know that there is just SOME lesson SOME WHERE in all of this craziness that I need to learn so that I am ready for WHATEVER is going to come next in my life!
I got to work REALLY EARLY this morning, I stayed 2-1/2 hours LATE. Got home, made a healthy dinner, ate, did a bunch of chores, errands, goal-oriented tasks, and I have to confess my FAVORITE part of my day was when my Sweetie came and had lunch with me today!!! OH, I just LOVE THAT MAN!!! He is just sooo sweet, and he LITERALLY turned my perspective around, because when he first got to me at noon, I literally thought I was going to break down and cry – I was THAT STRESSED OUT!!!!

On another note, my biggest time-wasting activity is watching the tele!!! If I were being honest, I would have to confess that I can sit and watch something like 4 or 5 hours a night!! UGH!!! WHAT AN UGLY TRUTH!!! So, I have decided that I will let myself watch one hour of tele per weeknight, if I feel I must, BUT the rest of my day will be spent being more proactive for my Absolute “Yes” List – so you remember what that was?? For those that don’t remember, this is my list of 5 things that ABSOLUTELY NEED my attention!!! My Absolute “Yes” List consists of:
My health
My marriage
My Home
My Finances
Self-Imployment
So am I doing more being to meet my needs in those areas verses just sitting around like a BIG OL’ SLUG!!!
Ok, so on a ZANY side note: I have been watching this season of America’s Got Talent, and I have to tell you, there are SOOOO MANY GREAT acts this season, but there is one gentleman that is SOOOO

that I want to meet him and become THE BEST OF FRIENDS!!! The person I am talking about is ‘PRINCE POPPYCOCK’!! He is ABSOLUTELY DIVINE!!! Not only is he one-of-a-kind, a SMASHING dresser, FABULOUSLY dramatic, HE CAN SING!!! WOW!! KUDDOS TO HIM, and who knew that opera could be SOOOOO MUCH FUN, HONEY!?!?!?!? I hope he makes it to the finale, and HONEY, IF HE WOULD JUST TEACH ME HOW TO WALK IN THOSE HEELS!!! MERCY!!!!!!! 😉
Today has been a very productive day!!! Work was good, home is good, puppies are good, hubby is good. How many days can you say that???
I have started, no let me rephrase, I have RE-started tracking my food on Weight Watcher’s website as of this morning. So I had to do some planning to make sure I had some healthy choices on hand at all times!!! Which means, I spent the majority of my evening cooking and preparing food for my lunches and dinners for the rest of the week!
While cooking I spent a couple hours on the phone with my sisters, which is ALWAYS a bunch of fun!!! I really miss hanging out with them. I often dream that they will all move here, and we can have frequent get togethers a-la-Soul Food, or movie nights, or shopping excursions, or just spending time making memories!! However, most of my sisters think that my city is just too big, and busy, so they will never move north. BUMMER!!! I have already lived in their city, and GOOD-GRANNY, I WILL NOT do that again!!! Their city is a place where old people go to die! But what do I know??? LOL!! I love you, girls – even though you live in hick-ville!! 😉
On another note, I have just been running around like crazy, so anything I can do to shave off some time during my days ALL THE BETTER, and I have to tell you, planning out my outfits the night before work has been saving me SOOOO MUCH TIME!!!! 🙂 I am usually the last one to work, and I have been one of the first the past two days!! I am not getting much more work done, since I am still in the beginning learning stages of my new job duties, but it still feels pretty dang good to get one of the good parking spots and to beat most of my co-workers getting there!!!
Oh, and can I just tell you one silly thing you may not know about me before I go for the day? I am sooooo excited about the new Nanny McPhee movie that is coming out at the end of the month! I can’t wait to go see it!!! It is like a modern day Mary Poppins combined with etiquette lessons – IT’S RIGHT UP THIS GIRLS’ ALLEY!!!!!!
Ok, so I am going to go get ready for bed!!! Mamma needs her beauty sleep!!!
Thank goodness! I spent a good portion of my afternoon today at my doctor’s office. I broke out in a rash all over my back, abdomen, and chest yesterday, and I needed to make sure that I wasn’t going to be spreading it to everyone I came into contact with! Nope, all’s good!! It seems to be something that will just go away on it’s own!!!
Can I tell you one of my guilty pleasures? I love watching Ghost Whisperer. I love the interior designs, I love Melinda’s hair, her clothes, she has my boobs and my figure, just so you know – I have them out on loan to her, and I expect to get them back very soon!!! 😉 Have you ever noticed that she always seems to have some kind of a ball gown on, her hair is usually in some kind of a coif that you know she has a personal design team following her around making her look PERFECT (I need to get one of those!) 😉 She loves to wear very low cut tops, and in every episode she just has to cry!!! I don’t know it is just silly, but I really like this show. I know they just canceled it, so it is pretty sad, but I am thinking I am going to have to purchase the DVD .
I LOVE Melinda’s store on Ghost Whisperer, The Same as It Never Was Antiques!! I dream of someday owning my own home boutique specializing in custom and one of a kind furniture, home accessorries, bedding, and interior design services. I dream about traveling all of the US and Europe searching for special peices for my clients homes!! Doesn’t that just sound sooooo ROMANTIC?!?!?!?! I LOVE it!!! 😉
Anyway, tonight, I am going to do some chores, and get some clothes organize for selling online. I have decided to get rid of some of the miscellaneous stuff I have laying around the house, and putting those funds towards my trip to Paris. Now I just have to decide how to go about selling them??? E-bay? My own Website??? I don’t know yet, I will have to keep you posted!!!

I got home on Friday, and have been squirreling myself away all weekend with my homebody-self, my two puppies, and my sweetie!! I am finally back on my regular time frame, thank goodness!! and, I am getting ready to go back to work in my real life!! This week is the first week that we are without one of our team mates, and I am just hoping that we will be able to handle anything that may come our way! 🙂 I will keep you posted!
