To say that New Moon was good was REALLY an understatement!!! Jason and I went to the midnight showing of New Moon last night this morning! My husband made it very clear that he was there just to support my cult-like need *WINK* to see all things Edward Cullen!!! I was worried about going to a midnight showing that the movie would be difficult to watch because of all the screaming teenage girls. I have to tell you, yes there was a little of that going on – especially when Jacob took off his shirt, but it actually made the movie MORE FUN, because it was basically an outward sound of what I was feeling on the inside as we were all being transported through the movie!!! FUN! FUN! FUN!!!
When we got to the theatre, we were a little confused about how the line was working because there were MULTIPLE lines, so we just picked one and got in! One of the theatre managers (he might have been the head manager) came over to us, and asked us how were were doing, what theatre we were in, etc, etc!! Basically, he took a liking to us, and singled us out to make sure we knew when we were going to get in – AND he said that we were lucky because we were in a place in line where we we going to be the first ones in!!! REALLY???? We had only been standing there about 45 minutes before the let us go into the theatre, AND we got THE BEST SEATS IN THE HOUSE – Stadium seating, center seat, front row! Not the crane your neck front row, but the one behind handicapped seating/aisle, with all of the juicy leg room!!! NICE!!! So this “line” that we chose to get into, was actually us cutting in line – WE LITERALLY HAD NO IDEA!!! – and the actual line ran ALL THE WAY AROUND THE STADIUM!!! OH MY GOSH!!!! Let’s just say we had our UMBRELLAS out for some SERIOUS BLESSINGS BEING RAINED DOWN ON US!!! We got into the theatre at about 10PM, and THANK GOD for my i-pod, because I watched 2 episodes of an hour long television show that I had been watching, and before I knew it the movie was ready to begin!!! YEAH!! Our movie started at literally 12:11 AM. YEP! I STILL GOT IT!!! š
Now, when Twilight came out, I watched it 11 times in the movie theatre, and then immediately bought it on DVD as soon as it came out – WAIT! JUST A MOMENT!!! I just realized as I re-read that last sentece, that I, and 34 year old, sane woman just wrote that!! LOL! and I just have to LAUGH about it!!! I can not believe how this book series has literally changed my life! For most of my adult life I have been a SELF-HELP JUNKIE!!! I am still, for the most part, but the Twilight Series gave me permission to read fiction, and take myself into fantasy land every once in a while. It has helped regenerate that part of myself that was once soooo prevelant – my IMAGINATION!!! YUM!!!Fantasy land can be VERY exciting!!!
Anyway, as I was saying before I so RUDELY interrupted myself, I watched the movie Twilight soooo many times in the theatre that I don’t really enjoy it on DVD, which is soooooo NOT like me – I LOVE movies, and I love watching them over and over again to get see things from EVERY angle!! So, I am going to TRY and limit my theatre time on this movie, so that when I get the DVD it will be a treat for myself!!!
Ok, now that I have got my Twilight Saga RANTING out of the way!!! I am going to get ready to go – I have an appointment, one that I am REALLY excited, and SCARED about, but one that will cross of SOMETHING CREATIVE on my LIFE LIST!!! I will blog again soon!!! š
