My Christmas Wish List!

I have been asked a lot this year, “What do you want for Christmas this year?” That is always a very hard question for me, because I am usually the buyer, not the buyee; but I thought I would make my life, and all of my friends’ and family’s lives easier by creating my Santa Baby list online!!! Quick Random Thought!!!

I want to be tucked into my warm, squishy bed, balled-up neatly under my fuzzy blanket and goose down feather comforter, with my feather pillow placed comfortably over my head; muffling out all light and sound, creating a neat, little cocoon of luxurious comfort, perfect for hibernating. I want to sleep peacefully without guilt or the inane fear of the possibility of missing something important. A nap without wake-up calls, or other obligations. Right now – that would be sheer bliss!!!

Somebody Gets to Cross Something Off of Her To-Do List!!! ME!!!

I got my nose peirced!!! YEAH!!! I have always wanted to, since I was in high school. I have never done it because I was always sooooo worried about what my friends and family would think!!! Anyway, I realized that it didn’t matter – that it was my face, my nose, my symbol of creativity – NOT THEIRS!!! So, I grabbed my husband for moral support, and went in and had it done!!! It stung, but NOTHING like having my ears peirced – that had hurt all day, the nose ring was practically forgotten about in a little less that 2 hours after peircing!!! I LOVE IT!!! It is just a tiny diamond stud, which is EXACTLY what I was hoping for!! YEAH!!!

I will take a picture of it later today, and post it so that you can see!!! 🙂
Until then,
Christina 😉

New Moon!!

To say that New Moon was good was REALLY an understatement!!! Jason and I went to the midnight showing of New Moon last night this morning! My husband made it very clear that he was there just to support my cult-like need *WINK* to see all things Edward Cullen!!! I was worried about going to a midnight showing that the movie would be difficult to watch because of all the screaming teenage girls. I have to tell you, yes there was a little of that going on – especially when Jacob took off his shirt, but it actually made the movie MORE FUN, because it was basically an outward sound of what I was feeling on the inside as we were all being transported through the movie!!! FUN! FUN! FUN!!!

When we got to the theatre, we were a little confused about how the line was working because there were MULTIPLE lines, so we just picked one and got in! One of the theatre managers  (he might have been the head manager) came over to us, and asked us how were were doing, what theatre we were in, etc, etc!! Basically, he took a liking to us, and singled us out to make sure we knew when we were going to get in – AND he said that we were lucky because we were in a place in line where we we going to be the first ones in!!! REALLY???? We had only been standing there about 45 minutes before the let us go into the theatre, AND we got THE BEST SEATS IN THE HOUSE – Stadium seating, center seat, front row! Not the crane your neck front row, but the one behind handicapped seating/aisle, with all of the juicy leg room!!! NICE!!! So this “line” that we chose to get into, was actually us cutting in line – WE LITERALLY HAD NO IDEA!!! – and the actual line ran ALL THE WAY AROUND THE STADIUM!!! OH MY GOSH!!!! Let’s just say we had our UMBRELLAS out for some SERIOUS BLESSINGS BEING RAINED DOWN ON US!!! We got into the theatre at about 10PM, and THANK GOD for my i-pod, because I watched 2 episodes of an hour long television show that I had been watching, and before I knew it the movie was ready to begin!!! YEAH!! Our movie started at literally 12:11 AM. YEP! I STILL GOT IT!!! 😉

Now, when Twilight came out, I watched it 11 times in the movie theatre, and then immediately bought it on DVD as soon as it came out – WAIT! JUST A MOMENT!!! I just realized as I re-read that last sentece, that I, and 34 year old, sane woman just wrote that!! LOL! and I just have to LAUGH about it!!! I can not believe how this book series has literally changed my life! For most of my adult life I have been a SELF-HELP JUNKIE!!! I am still, for the most part, but the Twilight Series gave me permission to read fiction, and take myself into fantasy land every once in a while. It has helped regenerate that part of myself that was once soooo prevelant – my IMAGINATION!!! YUM!!!Fantasy land can be VERY exciting!!!

Anyway, as I was saying before I so RUDELY interrupted myself, I watched the movie Twilight soooo many times in the theatre that I don’t really enjoy it on DVD, which is soooooo NOT like me – I LOVE movies, and I love watching them over and over again to get see things from EVERY angle!! So, I am going to TRY and limit my theatre time on this movie, so that when I get the DVD it will be a treat for myself!!!

Ok, now that I have got my Twilight Saga RANTING out of the way!!! I am going to get ready to go – I have an appointment, one that I am REALLY excited, and SCARED about, but one that will cross of SOMETHING CREATIVE on my LIFE LIST!!! I will blog again soon!!! 🙂

-Christina

Oh, and JUST FOR THE RECORD…my husband LOVED the movie – he thought the werwolves we cool!!! He is a Team Jacob fan, but that is ok, we can’t all be PERFECT!!! *WINK!!*

Daily Update!!

This is going to be a short posting, but I wanted to make sure that I don’t get myself in the habit of skipping blogging. I had a pretty good day at work, not too stressful!! Thank goodness, last week was really tough, and I am just thankful that today is a new day!!! YEAH!!!

Anyway, it is my neice’s 7th birthday, so my sweetie and I got to go over and celebrate her big day!!! She is such a girlie-girl, which I love. She got a new doll, a baby’s crib, and a cute little high chair! How sweet! Oh, to be 7 again, and have your biggest concern of the day be “Hmmm…what outfit do I want to wear???” I love my neice, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, V!!! 😉

Tomorrow’s a big day! I have a lot of stuff to catch up on, so away we go!!!
Have a FABULOUS night!!!

Daily Update!

It is the end of another day, and it was another good one!!! First thing this morning, I got up and finished a FABULOUS book I was reading – at least it is my book du jour, because as you may know – I LOVE to read!!! 😉 It was The Vampire Diaries Book 2. I have ordered books 3 & 4, so hopefully it will be here soon!!! I can’t wait to continue reading!!!

Anyway, after that was done, I gathered up the boys (my husband and nephew, who had been playing video games for a couple of hours this morning!!!) and we all headed over to my sis-in-laws place for Girls’ Night!!! Well, it was actually girls’ day! We had lunch, and then proceeded to play a round of Cranium and then a rousing game of Skip-Bo!!! Ok, so here is the rub – I didn’t win either game. BUMMER! I love winning! I can actually be VERY competitive, but I have to tell you today was just soooo much fun!!! Anyways, the girl has put me in charge of coordinating our next get together!!! We will meet again in December, to have a Christmas potluck and a night of Christmas movies!! 😉 I can’t wait! That will be sooo much fun!!! 😉

Jason and I are home again. We had dinner, watched a little tele, and now we are upstairs in our pj’s *WINK*, and after I finish updating my blog, we are going to watch Cabaret – I have NEVER seen it – I KNOW!!! I AM JUST AS SHOCKED AS YOU ARE!!!

Anyway, really quickly, talking about movies…NEW MOON – ok, soooo I am sooooooo addicted to Edward Cullen!!! There, I’ve said it! I can go to bed now, knowing that I have come clean!

Ok, no really, I LOVE the TWILIGHT SERIES!!! The movie New Moon comes out this Friday and it is all I can do to keep it together so that I can make it through my week to get there!!! I am going to ask if I can take Friday off, so that me and a couple of friends can go to the midnight showing of it, which I must say is rather sad for someone in their early 30’s to be taking time off of work, and risking an evening of fun and excitement amongst a crowd of giggling, swooning teenage girls!! BUT, now that I have said that, every time I have talked about it with my friends we might as well be giggling , swooning teenage girls too – we have just had more paractice, because we CAN’T WAIT to see what happens EITHER!!!!

Anyway, have a FABULOUS evening!!! I will chat again tomorrow!!!

TGIF!!!

When I woke up this morning, I knew that there was absolutely NO WAY that I was going to be able to make it through a day of work!! I have been running myself ragged, have been a hormonal mess, and hardly slept at all last night! So, thankfully I am in a position where I am able to call in sick and get paid for that day anyway! Thank God for all of the blessings He rains down!!!

I didn’t know how I was going to spend my day, all I knew was that there was no way that I wanted to be alone today!!! So, my sweetie invited me to join him at our neice’s school recital, which I hesitantly said yes to going too, but I am soooo thankful that I went! We got there in the nick of time, her class hadn’t performed yet. We saw that they were up on stage getting ready (WHEW! Talk about cutting it close!!!). All of the kids had black clothes on from neck to toes and they had on stark white gloves!!! Well, long story short, they turned off all of the lights in the chapel, except for some black lights, the music started and the kids did a BEAUTIFUL job singing their little hearts out, while doing motions to all of the words!!! TOTALLY SWEET!!!

Well, I am not sure what exactly happened, but thankfully I was sitting in the very back row with my sweetie (I did mention we go there late, didn’t I?), and the next thing I know I AM CRYING LIKE A BIG OL’ BABY!!!! and not some dainty-little-silent tears running down my face, I will just dab at them with a handkerchief – NO!!! IT WAS TEARS AND SNOT RUNNING DOWN MY FACE, FULL ON UGLY CRY AND I JUST COULD NOT MAKE MYSELF STOP!!! The kids would finish with a song, and I would get myself to calm down a little bit, and then the next song would start, AND OFF I WOULD GO AGAIN!!! AAAAAACK!!!!! Somebody call the water department – I NEED MY SERVICE SHUT OFF!!!! Thank GOD I was wearing an extra long top, because, I am not proud to say, the hem of that baby was put to GOOD use today – recycling at it’s best!!! Man! God bless my husband, he just kept his arm around me and kept asking me if I were alright, and I just COULD NOT pull myself together!!! I was just soooo thankful that I was NOT AT WORK FOR THAT!!! UGH!

Long story short, I am doing better now! WHEW!!! That kind of crying just knocks the snot out of you – HA! HA! HA!! (Pun intended!) and I needed a break from my break!!

Well, the next thing I do is go to my sis-in-law, Alex’s and convince her to have a Starbuck’s date with me!!! YEAH – THAT IS NOT A HARD SELL!!! 😉 but before we go to do that, we head over to the jeweler’s to pick up my wedding ring that was in getting repaired – I just feel soooo naked without my pretty little bauble!!! All is good, my ring is there, it is ready to go, and the lady decides that she is going to try and sell me something, and before I can poo-poo her sales tactic, I ask to see the merchandise!! and of course I can’t believe what I am hearing, OR what she is saying!!! YEAH!!! She tells me that for 3 days only, they have 100 sets of freshwater pearl jewelry for only $15.00 – she had an accent and I was SURE that I was hearing her incorrectly – $15???? YES!! $15!!!! A freshwater pearl necklace, bracelet, and matching drop earrings!! THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL!! AND WOULD YOU KNOW IT?? THIS IS ON MY LIFE LIST!!!! WHOO! HOO!!! Uhmmmm…yes, please! I will take it, matter of fact I am dead broke right now, but I will break my charging moratorium to walk away with these babies RIGHT NOW, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!! 😉 So, needless to say, that was most DEFINITILY DIVINE INTERVENTION blessing me on a day, when I really, REALLY NEEDED IT!!! Thank God!!! 🙂

Alex and I went to Starbuck’s and enjoyed our coffee while having a LONG chat with out any children around!!! I just LOVE hanging out with Alex! She is just sooooo positive, and she doesn’t think that I am bizarre – you would be surprised at how many people think I am a little off, ok maybe you wouldn’t be! *WINK!* Anyway, we talked about EVERYTHING! Where to live, what to be when we finally decide to grow up, children, life’s challenges, fun stories about our past!!! To say that Alex and I are kindred spirits would be a HUGE understatement!!! There are only a small handful of people that I can consider REALLY CLOSE friends, and Alex is right in that mix!! I just LOVE HER!!! THANK YOU, MY SISTER-FRIEND!!! 😉

Next, we went to pick up Christopher and Victoria (aka V) from their respective schools. You see, Alex and her kids just moved back up from Arizona, so we are all getting reaquanted!! I am getting to know what they like and dislike, what moods they go through, and they are getting to know the same things in me! I am having a lot of fun having additional family around, I know that I am constantly saying how blessed Jason and I are, but we REALLY ARE BLESSED! Not everyone can say that they are as close to their family’s as we are!! So, we are borrowing Christopher to spend the night tonight, and we will have Victoria spend the night next weekend!

We are at our place now, and Chris has been SOOOO MUCH FUN TO HAVE AROUND!!! He can be extremely helpful, and he is just soooo silly – you can’t help but laugh when you are around him!! We had spaghetti and garlic bread. He was worried that we were going to starve him – apparently he remembers staying the night at our house once before, and he insists we only fed him one chicken leg and green beans for dinner – I am not sure that every really happened, but I wanted to make sure he had PLENTY of food!!! We watched the moview UP, which was the first time for all 3 of us, and we were laughing out booties off! SO FUNNY! SO SWEET!!! It made me fall in love with my sweetie again! (Ok, that may still be the raging hormones!!!) 😉

Anyways, the boys are downstairs playing video games, I can hear a lot of “Mwa-Ha-Ha!”, “Oh snap!”, “Dude”, “Awe man!”, “Hey” and “Ya got me!” You know – the male species’ native language, let’s just say I have a translating dictionary, and trust me – that all adds up to that they are having a GREAT time!!! I LOVE IT!!!

Alright, I am going to go get some reading done before bed! Have a FABULOUS NIGHT!!! I will chat again tomorrow!!!

-Christina 😉

Daily Update!

Today has been a rather good day!!! My sweetie and I just got back from dinner with a dear friend of mine and her new husband! They look soooo happy together! I am just EXCSTATIC for them both!!! We went to a little restaraunt called Marco Polo – as in the game, you know! The ambiance was perfect, the food was delicious, and the service was near perfect!!! I have to tell you, there is NOTHING like a night of good food, good fun, and good friends!!! GOD IS SOOOOO GOOD!!!

I have gotten some things done today, not as much as I would have liked, but I can still feel myself making progress towards my goals, so I will just keep pushing on!!! One of the things that I really am struggling with is getting to the gym in the morning! It is right across the street from my house, so I can’t seem to figure out WHAT THE PROBLEM IS???? I need to just do!!! I am a very big girl, and I do not always feel very graceful, and I think that the idea of embarrasing myself in front of strangers is what is keeping me from going – or it could be just because I am not sleeping well and REALLY would RATHER have the extra hour in my warm cozy bed!!! Yes, that actually sounds more like the real reason!!! No worries! I WILL GET WITH THE PROGRAM HERE!!!! 😉

Anyway, I am going to keep it short here, I have A LOT of reading to do tonight before bed!!! So, I will chat some more with you tomorrow!!!

I have a lot to do tomorrow, but not as much as today because Jason and I are going out with friends to a new restaraunt tomorrow (well, it is new to Jason and I!)

You know, I have been thinking about this question a lot, “What would I do if I were to lose my job tomorrow?” I want to make sure that I am in a situation where, if I were to lose my position, my world would not come to a crashing halt!!! I am not sure what those steps to shore up my foundation are going to look like, or maybe I have already started the process, but I am committing now to live my BEST LIFE EVER! To live like I was meant to live, in the here and now. With grattitude, love, and generosity!!

One of my favorite quotes of all times is:

“God has a bigger dream for your life than you could ever dream for yourself!”

I have always known from a very young age that God has big plans for my life. I have never really been sure what those plans were, or when he was going to give me a glimpse of those plans, but I have come to realize that the time to act is NOW. I need to stop waiting for THE BIG SIGN, and understand that God has been working in all of the LITTLE OPPORTUNITIES that he has laid in my path, and it has always been up to me whether or not to act on those moments. I am tired of stepping over those little opportunities, and I am not going to step over them ANYMORE!!! NOW IS THE TIME FOR ACTION! NOW IS THE TIME FOR VICTORY!!! If I can change even one person’s life by sharing my journey, then THAT is proof of a bigger dream for me than even I had!!!

As the Black eyed Peas, so poetically said:

“LET’S GET IT STARTED!!!”

Until tomorrow!
